Let's Capture These Sketches Reveal #134

Happy Memorial Day to everyone!  Just a quick post to showcase the reveal of Let's Capture These Sketches, Sketch #134.  The sketch was created by J.J. Sobey and was VERY fun to work with.  Here's her sketch.

And here's my take on her sketch.  These pictures were taken in Maine last fall.  It was such a gorgeous day!

I used Authentique's Delightful collection..the colors are just beautiful and beachy!

I also used MFT's Botanical Beauty Flower Die...it's my new favorite!  This layout is also going to be a make and take at Right at Home Scrapbooking soon!  I'll be back later with another layout I created for Right at Home.  Make sure to stop by Let's Capture These Sketches to see all of the gorgeous layouts the ladies have created!

MFT Fan Club May Layout

I had lots of fun with this month's MFT Fan Club Layout.  The girls had a camera phone at a recent competition and took lots of pictures while waiting for the awards ceremony to begin... it made for some very funny photos!

The Behind the Camera MFT was perfect for this layout.  I used some Amy Tangerine Chevron fabric  and paper to embellish it.

I also used the Banner Day Stax and fan fold flower MFTs for my banner and of course, some fun Twinery twine in Pink Sorbet and Charcoal.

May's MFT Fan Club will be held at Right at Home Scrapbooking on both Saturday, May 26th at 10:15 a.m. and Thursday, May 31st at 6:00pm.

The Twinery & Bella Blvd. Team Up!!!

I am so excited that this week The Twinery is teaming up with the designers over at Bella Blvd!  Bella has ALWAYS been one of my all time favorite manufacturers (I know, you're all surprised...) and the combination of Bella Blvd.  and The Twinery, well, let's say it's just about perfect!  If you haven't been following along, the ladies from both teams have come up with some incredible projects this week.  Make sure to stop by both The Twinery Blog and Bella Blvd.'s Blog to check them out!

I received a big box of goodies from the Bella Blvd.Team which included LOTS of papers & embellies, including some goodies from the Plastino Line...which was one of my all time favorites! Here's what I came up with.

Blossom, Shore, Honeydew and Pink Sorbet twine coordinated perfectly with the colors in this collection.  I did some fussy-cutting of flowers and those CUTE little lady bugs and used the Twinery Twine as the flower centers and stitched some ladybug trails!

I also stitched a border around my blocks using blossom twine and embellished my sun with some Buttercream twine.

My second layout was created using one of my favorite Bella Blvd. releases this year...Sunshine and Happiness.  This line just makes me happy, full of bright cheery colors and some great embellies.

I used some Pink Sorbet and Honeydew twine to create a pinwheel.  They coordinated PERFECTLY!

And Bella's new Flags and Decorative Tapes are must haves!

Now here's a chance for you to win some great Twinery Twine!  The Twinery is giving away 3 Original Sampler packs to three different winners.

To win you must leave a comment on each of the Twinery's designer blogs for all 5 days of this product showcase, as well as on The Twinery's Blog.  A complete list of participating blogs will be on The Twinery Blog each day.  Deadline to leave comments is 11:59 EDT, Sunday, May 20th.  Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 22nd on The Twinery Blog.

Bella Blvd. is doing a giveaway as well, so make sure to stop by their blog.

Let's Capture These Sketches #132

We had a fun sketch to work with this week by Natalie Roy (see it here) I tend to be a very "square" person so working with the circles was a fun change for me.  Here's my take on her sketch.

I used Pink Paislee's Prairie Hills Collection which is full of soft, subtle colors to highlight this picture of Ed and Caroline in Ogunquit, ME last fall.

The clothes pins are from Canvas Corp...LOVE the clothes line effect and the little banner was cut using the MFT Round banner and hung with some Twinery Twine in Cappucino.

I'll be back Thursday with The Twinery & Bella Blvd. Product Showcase! Make sure to stop by the Let's Capture These Sketches Blog to see all of the beautiful layout created by the team!

Margaritas, Tailgating and Buffett

I've been a neglectful blogger these days... I have tons of projects to post...the timing is just off between when the projects were completed and when they're due to their respective DTs!  Anyway, I do have one I can share today.  It's a rare 2 pager for Right at Home Scrapbooking using Jillibean Soup's new Coconut Lime Soup.

When I saw the limes in this collection, I knew what pictures I'd be scrapping!  Every year we make the pilgrimage to Jimmy Buffett...we now have the tailgating down to an art form.  Full dinner and of course Margaritas made with the secret recipe sour mix!

I created my little banners by punching out the limes from one of the papers, folding them over some twine and stapling.

The margarita glass was cut using the MFT Let's Toast Dienamic.  I colored it, then coated it with Glossy Accents.  And of course, some Stickles for the "salted" rim!

I'll be back this week with a couple of posts...first the reveal of sketch 132 for Let's Capture These Sketches and on Thursday, I'll be taking part in a product showcase between The Twinery and my FAVORITE manufacturer....wait for it....BELLA BLVD!!! (I'm a little excited).

Just a Little Something

Just wanted to share a little card I made at the request of a friend.  A few days ago, she messaged me asking if I could make a birthday card with a "pig" for a friend of her daughter.  Still not sure what the pig is all about, but I was happy with the results...especially since I'm not really a card lady!

The little pig is from Cricut's Create a Critter cartridge.  The papers are from the Bella Blvd. Spring Flings and Easter Things collection.  The flags were created using MFT Dienamics and stamps, and of course, we have some Twinery Twine!

I'll have lots more for my blog soon, I've been busy working on projects for Right at Home, The Twinery and Let's Capture These Sketches!
