Valentine's Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to be part of this fun Valentine Blog Hop over at shurkus.com!  The hop is running from February 1-14 and there will be inspiring projects from Jenn Shurkus and a variety of other crafters she's asked to play along! There are prizes to be won!! Just remember to comment on the featured blog for each day of the hop. The more LOVE you leave, the better chance you have to win!  Yesterday's hopper was Lizzy...be sure to check out her creations!  Today I'm here with a fun home décor piece I created using my Silhouette and some fun Doodlebug Designs goodies from their Sweetheart collection...take a peek:

This was a really easy project to put together and would make a nice gift for someone special!  I started with a regular 9x12 frame I bought at Michael's.  I cut the alphabet from my background paper and backed it (using some foam tape for dimension) with a coordinating paper.  Lastly I popped up the i, o and u with a third paper to make them stand out.

I wanted to dress up the frame a bit as well, so I ran a strand of coordinating baker's twine around one of the grooves of the frame and finished it off with this cute heart DoodlePop!

Now for the really fun part... I'm giving away the Silhouette Cut file I created for this project for free!  You can access the file here.  I hope you enjoy it!  That's it for today, make sure to comment to win!!  Also make sure to check out Christy's Blog tomorrow to she what fun project she's created.  If you'd like to start from the beginning, go to shurkus.com!  Thanks for stopping by!
