Doodlebug Design | Made with Love Shadow Box Cards

I am so excited to be kicking off a few weeks of Made with Love inspiration over on the Doodlebug Design Blog!  If you haven't taken a good look at this collection, you're missing out!  It's full of great patterns and colors and the cutest little baking related icons!  It's perfect for Valentine's Day and beyond!  I had so many ideas streaming through my head... I finally decided to create some fun shadowbox cards.  Take a peek...

I always love making little scenes with the Doodlebug Icons... you can use the Icon Stickers, Odds & Ends or the Mini Icon Stickers to create the cutest little scenes.  For my first card, I used the stickers from the Mini Icon Stickers to create a little kitchen scene.

I'm torn as to what my favorite icon is... the mixer, the cupcakes... that little egg, oh wait, the sprinkles bottle.. they are all beyond cute.  I layered them all in a kitchen scene.   I used some buffalo check woodgrain petite prints for my cabinets and used papers from the Made with Love 6x6 pad... I love how the patterns are scaled down.  They are perfect for cardmaking!  I finished the card with a sentiment from the chit chat pieces and some of the little sprinkle hearts from the With All My Heart Shaped Sprinkles.

I used the cupcakes and streamers from the Odds & Ends pack to create my next little scene.  Their little sprinkles just make me smile!  I used two of my favorite papers from the 6x6 pad... the cinnamon hearts paper in the background and the cake plaider paper.  Doodlebug plaids are my absolute favorites!!  Again I finished the card with a sentiment from the chit chat pieces and some of the little sprinkle hearts from the With All My Heart Shaped Sprinkles.

Have you made anything with the Made with Love Collection?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook & Instagram... we LOVE to see what you create!  That's it for me today, be sure to stop by over the next few weeks for more Made with Love inspiration from the Design Team!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock | I Heart You Alphabet Card

I'm up on the Lori Whitlock Blog today with a fun card I made using her I Love You Alphabet 2 File (SVG, Silhouette- coming soon) .  Take a peek...

I resized and cut Lori's File to fit on a 5x7 card.  I then added foam tape between the layers to give it lots of dimension.  I used some Doodlebug Design Woodgrain Petite Prints and some papers from the Love Notes Collection to piece it all together.  Here is a close up so you can better see the layers.

For more instructions on how I created this, head over to Lori's Blog here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

Doodlebug Design | Apron Gift Card Holder

I have always loved cooking, and my daughter has inherited that love.  She will be moving to NYC in a couple of months to work and do some post grad schooling, and she's very excDited to have her own kitchen.  I thought it would be fun to give her a gift card for kitchen stuff, and wanted to "package" it up in a cute way.  I came up with this fun card, take a peek...

I cut the apron using the Papertrey Ink In Stitches Apron Dies and some Pistachio Petite prints.  I stitched around the edges and stitched on the pocket.

To decorate, I added some Odds & Ends from the Simply Spring and Bundle of Joy Collections.  For my sentiment, I used the All Occasion Doodle Stamps.

A little ribbon for the ties and done!  I know she will be excited to get some goodies for her kitchen! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Yeti Box Card

Doodlebug's Petite Prints... whether it be the new Buffalo Check-Woodgrain, the Dot-Stripe, Floral Graph or Gingham Linen versions are an absolute must have in my craft stash.  I love how they coordinate perfectly with all of Doodlebug's collections and they are the perfect choice when working with Doodlebug's Cut files... which is one of my favorite activities!  I especially love turning Doodlebug's one dimensional cut files into three dimensional projects, like this fun Yeti Box Card... take a peek...

I started with the Winter Wonderland Tram Car SVG File.  I cut 2 of these from the Lilac Buffalo Check - Woodgrain Petite Prints and put them on either side of a box shape I made.  I added some transparency sheets behind the windows to look like glass.    I then decorated the car with stripes of the Bubble Blue, Blue Jean and Swimming Pool versions of the Woodgrain Petite Prints and some Snowflake Shaped Sprinkles from the Winter Wonderland Collection.

Riding the tram is the adorable Yeti!  I pieced him together using the Winter Wonderland Yeti Skis SVG file and some Dot-Stripe, Floral Graph and Woodgrain Petite Prints.    I love how the Petite Prints Color Palette allow me to make him look exactly like he does on the Icon Sticker Sheet.  I added a little insert into the box and attached him to it so he looks like he's standing there waving to his friends!  To finish the card, I added a sentiment speech bubble from the Winter Wonderland Chit Chat pieces.

If you've used Doodlebug's Petite Prints in a project... be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram.  We always love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
