Using some Left-overs

Hi Everyone...just a quick post today to show you a project I created using some of the left-over goodies I had from the Paper Issues/Chic Tags Happy Place Issue.  Chic Tags sent us a huge amount of goodies to work with on this issue, and I couldn't let it go to waste!  Here's what I came up with:

I've been dying to scrap this picture of my daughter from the first day of school...just hadn't gotten to it yet!  Instead of a page, I decided to create a shadow box frame using a Lori Whitlock file from the Silhouette Store.
I made the shadow box from some Limba paper I got in the Paper Issues Store...If you've never seen's awesome.  It has a great wood grain texture and it's really heavy and thick.

To decorate the shadow box, I first covered the front and inside with the Science Lab paper from ChicTags's School House Collection.  I then added a bunch of tags from both the School House and Happy Place collections.

I fussy-cut the 10 from the Arithmetic Paper and used the "Proud Nerd" Rub-on to embellish it.

Some more tags and a fun badge from Evalicious to finish it off.  Love how this turned out!  Thanks for stopping by... I'll be back next week with a bunch of new projects!

  1. Love what you did with this first day of school picture. Adorable. Great pic.

  2. Too cute Kathy and such a fun way to use your extra Chic Tags!!

  3. Cute project - love Caroline's expression!!! Lovin' all those Chic tags!!

  4. This is so awesome, Kathy! Love how you used the tags. Good for you for using up the extras. :)

  5. I love this Kathy! What a great use for the tags, they really compliment the "fun" feel of the picture, they become speech bubbles in a way.

Thanks so much for your comments, they are much appreciated!
