Splash!

Echo Park has really had a great year. I'm in love with (and own) every single collection they've put out so far! I was very happy to get to work with the Splash line for my July work at Right at Home Scrapbooking. Here's what I came up with.

Staying Cool in the Pool
I cut the banner pieces from the Borders sheet and attached some black cord with my tiny attacher.
I also used some liquid pearls to make the fish bubbles and the edge of the waves.

Kissed by a Fish

This layout was based on a challenge by Frances Sylvia for Right at Home Scrapbooking. She challenged everyone to create a layout using a 12"x6" strip of paper, a 6"x6" piece, two 2"x12" strips and two 1"x12" strips. You were also allowed to add some embellishments, buttons and ribbon. It was very cool how different every one's layouts were!

I used the Cat's Pajama's easy Rosette and of course some Whimsys!

That's all for now. I'll be back with some My Mind's Eye Hip Hooray next week!

Beach Babe Layouts

Boy, I don't blog for 2 weeks, now my 4th post in a week! Playing catch up I guess. I was lucky enough to get to work with Fancy Pants Beach Babe Line over at LCOM this month... this is such a fun collection! Bright colors, fun embellies... perfect for summer and vacation photos! My first layout shows my daughter under the Caroline St. sign in Key West, FL. We just couldn't resist! I love the Beach Babe paper flowers, and of course a Whimsy Cloud!

My second layout is also from the Keys... my daughter would've been more than happy to spend the whole time in a beach chair with her book and her iPod! I made the zipper flower using a Cosmo Cricket Gluber and some Maya Road Zipper trim.

I'll be back later in the week with another Splash layout... LOVE the collections this summer!

RAH Layout Workshop Layout

Just a quick post to show off the layout I created with my take home kit from the Right at Home Layout Workshop. We got to work with some Jillibean Dutch Mustard Soup papers!

I took this picture last week while we were out to dinner celebrating Caroline's 13th Birthday in Florida.

I cut out the hearts from one of the papers to create a cluster and added some ADORABLE Whimsy pins! I also used the MFT tiny ticket and file tab Die Namics. If you're interested in joining us for the Layout Workshop, give Lisa a call at Right at Home. Our next meeting is August 19th. That's all for now, be back soon with some fun Beach Babe Layouts!

Some Bo Bunny Layouts

I've been a bad blogger this month!!! Just realized I haven't posted for over 2 weeks! It's been busy... We spent some time down the Cape and we just got back from a week in Florida...now, back to reality, 100 degrees and a lot of laundry!

This month, I got to work with Bo Bunny's Liberty Line for my DT projects at Right at Home. I really love all things Bo Bunny!!! Here are my layouts... both featuring pictures from the Chatham, MA 4th of July parade in 2010.This first LO, Celebrating Freedom shows my daughter, husband and mom enjoying breakfast on the church lawn, while waiting for the parade. I painted the chipboard letters to match the colors and used the MFT stars Die namic.
This next LO is based on a sketch by Frances Sylvia for Right at Home. It's my daughter and some of our favorite parade floats. The banner is the round banner Die namic from MFT.
That's it for now... I'll be back next week with some layouts done for Let's Capture our Memories using Fancy Pants Beach Babe line... stay cool!

Relaxing

I have actually been relaxing for the past few days! The weather has been great down the Cape! Of course I did get a sunburn... they have to start making SPF 225 for those of us that are of pasty pale Irish descent! I am getting some great pictures though... we had a birthday party and a big parade down here... so I'm learning my new camera on the fly!

Anyway... the real reason I'm posting today is to share my latest creation for Let's Capture our Memories. For July, I get to use Fancy Pants' Beach Babe line. I absolutely love this line... full of bright fun colors and FABULOUS embellishments!

This is a picture from last year when we took the boat out to Sesuit Harbor to go fishing. Caroline likes to fish, but I think she liked relaxing more! I did some fussy cutting of fish and added some of the die cuts and chipboard pieces.

The sun is from the fun rub on sheet and the clouds were created using MFT's flat bottomed cloud Die namic.

I added some Stickles to the chipboard pieces and the fish on the paper to make them shine a little and some Glossy Accents to the water drops and bubbles. I love how it adds a little dimension.

Finally I stitched some "waves" into the water to add a little something... it was a very fun layout to work with! I'll be back later in the month with some more LCOM layouts using Beach Babe. I hope you're out enjoying good weather and taking plenty of pictures!
