September's Layout Workshop

Hi Everyone... just a quick post to share the layout I created for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  It's a bright and fun one featuring Little Yellow Bicycle's Poppy collection.

These pictures are from our trip to Florida last month.  We spent our last day there, wandering around St. Augustine.  It's such a pretty place!

I created a little journaling tag in a pocket from a Silhouette file.  I love hidden journaling!

The poppy flowers are also from a Silhouette file.  They coordinated perfectly with the background paper!  That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

July Layout Workshop

It's been a while since my last post, but I have a good excuse!!  I was lucky enough to attend Create and Connect (CHA) in Las Vegas with the owner of Right at Home Scrapbooking!  We had a great time taking classes, seeing all the new scrappy goodies and meeting tons of people.  I'll try to post some pictures soon!

As soon as we returned, I hosted a big group at the July Layout Workshop.  We played with some Composition and Color from Webster's Pages and some fun Silhouette cuts.  Here's the layout:

Some more silly selfies of my daughter...so sad she's so shy.  These are from the 4th of July.  I used my Silhouette to cut the fun camera and view master shapes.  The camera is from Silhouette, and the view master slide is a cut file I purchased from 2Peas.

The cute little geotag was downloaded from Blinks of Life...a great source of some fun freebies!

That's it for today...I'll try to get my act together and post some of the MANY pics from CHA soon!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Be YOU tiful

We got a really fun take home kit from the Right at Home Scrapbooking Layout Workshop last month.  It was Teresa Collins Stationary Noted collection, and I have to tell you I LOVED it!  The colors are great and the embellishments that go with the collection are so fun!  I immediately thought of this picture of my daughter doing "the Titanic" thing on a cruise last year.

The title was Pinterest inspired.  I thought it went well with the quotes included on some of the punch-out die cuts.  I layered a few of the border strips and embellished them with some Solid Stone Twine from The Twinery.

The enamel dots and flower embellishments did not escape my shopping cart.  They're such a fun way to add splashes of color.

That's it for today...I'll be back next week with some projects for The Twinery. Thanks for stopping by!

Some Fun, New Echo Park

Hi Everyone... I was very excited to get to play with Echo Park's new Here and Now collection for the Layout Workshop over at Right at Home Scrapbooking this month.  This is one fun collection, full of bright colors and fun patterns.  It coordinates perfectly with these silly "selfies" of my daughter and her friend.

I absolutely LOVE the chalkboard background paper.  It really makes the colors pop off the page.  I created the bulls-eye shapes by editing the Concentric Circles file from the Silhouette Store.

These adorable little glasses are a new die from The Cat's Pajamas.  As soon as I saw it, I had to have it.

The same goes for these stamps.  They are from the Paper Smooches Slang Gang collection.  They were just to cute to pass up and they're perfect for Teen/Kid scrapping.

I also used the fun "chalk" technique that was up on the Echo Park Blog recently to add my arrows.  I love how it looks!  That's it for today.  I'll be back soon with some projects for The Twinery.  Thanks for stopping by and as always I appreciate your comments!

Happiness with Pink Paislee

Hi Everyone...just a quick post to share this month's Layout Workshop project for Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I got to play with some fun Pink Paislee Secret Crush.  LOVE this collection, the colors, the patterns, everything!  I also used some of the special cutting files you can download from Pink Paislee...they coordinate perfectly with their collections.

This picture is from our recent trip to Key West to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.  We had such a fun time.  It was hard to leave!  I used the Pink Paislee Photo Frames Cut Files to create this cute layered frame for my Instagram photo.

I also used the Circle n Hearts cut file for my background.

One Fine Day & Some Happy News

Hi Everyone...just a quick post to show you a layout I created using my take-home kit from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I got to play with some Crate Paper Acorn Avenue.  Here's what I came up with:

I just love these pictures from back in 2005.  The one on the left was our Christmas card pic that year.  We got a Mr. Huey's Mint Julep mist in our kit, and I used in a few ways...first I splattered some on my background.  I also used it to color some Studio Calico wood veneer arrows and also to color my LYB burlap letters in my title.

The  little clips from Studio Calico are a favorite and used one of my birdies to hold my picture perfect label.  That stamp sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I found these Prima flowers when I was purging the craft room.  I have NO idea when I got them, but I thought the colors were perfect for my layout.

That's it for today... Now for my happy news.  I'm excited to finally be able to announce that I'll be part of the Paper Issues Design Team!!!

Such a fun group of ladies, and there are a lot of fun Issues planned!  If you're not familiar with Paper Issues, be sure to stop by the blog to check things out!  I'll be back on Friday as part of the Blog hop with The Twinery and Imaginisce!  Thanks for stopping by!

March Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking

I had a lot of fun creating this month's project for the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  First I got to play with one of my FAVORITE Collections...Portfolio by Pink Paislee.  Second, I got to play with my Silhouette...ALWAYS a good time!  Here's what I came up with:

I created my own Silhouette cut file by welding the days of the week together...I was surprised at how easy it was to create custom cuts!

For my title, I mixed it up a little, using a fun chevron arrow and the Everyday cut files, both available in the Silhouette store.

Finally I put together a little hidden journaling pocket and topped it off with a fun tab.  I also stamped it with my new Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm roller stamp (I'm really begin to hoard the different roller stamps that are out these days...it's a problem)

This month's Layout Workshop will be held on Friday, March 22nd at 7:00pm at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  If you're local and would like to come please call the store to reserve your spot!

December Layout Workshop

Hi Everyone,
Two posts in two days... it's been a busy week!  I'm here today with a peek at the project we'll be creating at this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I had a lot of fun with this one, using some Studio Calico Yearbook papers and tons of dies and stamps.

LOVE these silly pics of my daughter and friend with their giraffe and zebra hats.  I tried to keep the layout whimsical to keep in line with the photos.  I LOVE my new Polaroid frame die from Li'l Inker Designs, it's perfect for the "selfies" my daughter always takes!  I used a bunch of MFT Die namics including the arrows from the Lead the Way set, the speech bubble die and stamp from "Say What" and the photo corners and tabs.

I also used a couple of stamps from the Hero Arts/Studio Calico Oh Snap collection.

If you're local and interested in joining the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking, please call the store for details. (508)695-9290.

Ready, Set, GO!

We got some fun Amy Tangerine Ready, Set, Go goodies in our take home kits from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking last month.  I'm very much in love with this collection!  It's full of fun shapes, colors and patterns.  I thought the line would be perfect for this picture of my daughter from our cruise last spring.  She's doing the "Charlie's Angels" pose with our dining wait staff.  These guys were a lot of fun!

I love all the little cardstock shapes that are part of Ready, Set Go...they're so cute!  I also used on of my new Evalicious badge buttons...LOVE everything Evalicious.  If you're not familiar with this company, check out their stuff.... great badge buttons, tags, tabs, stamps, journals...a very fun place.

I loved the little journaling tags, so I made a pocket behind my picture to hold one.

Thanks for looking today...I'll be back Sunday with my first reveal for Creative Scrappers!  Can't wait!

Layout Workshop - November

Boy, this year has flown...I can't believe we're already into November, and I'm thinking Christmas!  This month's Layout Workshop project started the gears turning...what to get everyone for Christmas, cookies, cards....I'm not ready...anyway, I did get to play with some fun Santa's Workshop papers from Doodlebug...love the bright and cheery colors!

These pictures make me smile...they're from 2005.  Caroline heard Santa's sleigh bells on Christmas eve, and she even found one out in the snow.  That was it for the evening...she decided she'd sit in front of the fire place for the entire night :).

I made a cute little ornament using an MFT Christmas Ornament Dienamic and some Twinery Twine.

It's a fun layout, hoping the ladies will like it!  This month's Layout Workshop will be held at Right at Home Scrapbooking on Friday, November 9th at 7:00pm!

October Layout Workshop

Just dropping in to give you a peek at the October Layout Workshop project for Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I had fun working with some Lily Bee Double Dutch.  I based my layout on sketch 229 from Creative Scrappers.

I love these pics of my daughter and her friend at a local farm.  They had so much fun apple picking, and of course the ice cream didn't hurt either....  I decided to jump on the new Pie Chart bandwagon with this layout...they're lots of fun and a great way to add splashes of color.

I loved the hidden journaling tag on the sketch and decided to keep it as an element.

I was excited to use my new Impression Obsession leaves dies...they're so cute!  And of course I needed to add some Twinery Twine so I made some swirls with Cappuccino twine.  That's all for today...I'll be back soon with some other projects I've been working on!

Camp Memories

Facebook and cell phone cameras are my saving grace these days.  My teenage daughter doesn't let me take her picture so much anymore, but will allow me to use pics her friends take and post.  I've really gotten some great pics this way, including this one from her trip to camp this past summer.  I guess I should have warned her that it was dangerous to fall asleep in a cabin full of girls!!!

After two weeks of camp, packing to go home was just a bit too much for her!  She fell asleep on the floor on top of her bag, and her cabin mates took advantage of the funny shot! My layout is based on sketch 221 from Creative Scrappers.  I used the fun Jillibean Soup Neopolitan Bean Bisque Soup from the take-home kit I received from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.

The stickers and punch outs were perfect for my pic...my favorite is the "I'm not here right now..." tag.

I added some Jillibean epoxy buttons I had in my stash...the colors matched perfectly!  That's all for today...I'll be back this weekend with a peek at the MFT Fan Club Layout for October!

Photo Op

Hi Everyone...just wanted to share the layout I created for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  Take a peek...

I used Jillibean Soup's Neopolitan Bean Bisque Soup papers and a bunch of MFT Die namcics and stamps for my layout...I am in LOVE with all of the fun patterns and colors!  They went perfectly with the fun and goofy pics from my daughter's 14th Birthday party.  The girls had a blast with some fun mustache, lip and feather boa picture props!

I love the "negative space" trend that's everywhere these days and used the technique for my title.  I also colored this ADORABLE little mistable camera from Studio Calico.

Flags are another trend I'm fond of these days and I made some using the MFT Flag Stax and some fun pins.  Well that's all for today...I'll be back soon with some more projects!

August Layout Workshop

Hi Everyone,
I'm finally really getting back into creating...so happy to be crafty again.   I had tons of fun putting together the class layout for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  Take a peek...

I know I've said this before, but I am SO grateful for cell phone cameras!  Since I was laid up for most of the beginning of the summer, I really couldn't get out and take pictures.  I was lucky that my daughter and friends have cell phone cameras and were willing to send me any and all pics that they took!  My daughter's friend took these one day while they were out on our boat in Chatham.  They're just too cute!

I based the layout on Creative Scrappers sketch 217.  I used My Mind's Eye's On the Sunny Side papers...which were perfect for my nautical pictures! I also used some of the newer MFT Dienamics including Sea Charms, Round Banner Stax and Cloud Stax.  I even used some of my new Ocean Twinery Twine!  I think it's my favorite new color.

I'll be back later this week with some DT work for Right at Home.
