Lori Whitlock: Easter Bunny Window Treat Boxes

Hi Everyone!  I can't believe Easter is in 2 weeks!  Since it's so early this year,  I had to get my act together much more quickly to make these fun little treat boxes for my college sophomore and her dorm-mates!

I used Lori's Easter Window Box Bunny (SVG File, Silhouette File) and added a fun little pop-pom tail to the window!  (The pom-poms were made with baker's  twine and a pom-pom maker). The adorable plaid papers are from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Spring Paper pack.

I filled them with some chocolate eggs and sent them off to the girls!  Head over to Lori's shop for a great variety of Easter files!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

The Twinery: Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone, I have my last project for The Twinery today as October Guest Designer.  Seeing that it's Halloween, I had to create something festive!  Take a peek:

I fell in love with this little bag cut file that I found in the Silhouette Store. (I am a crazy cat lady!)  I mixed it up a bit and created the kitty face using some Doodlebug Sprinkles and some Charcoal Stripe Twine Whiskers!  Here's a close up of the bag....I'm just glad my will power held up long enough to photograph before I ate the Kisses!!!

Now off to eat the kisses!!!  Have a wonderfully spooky Halloween!

The Twinery October Guest Designer: Leaf Card

Hi Everyone, I'm back with another fall project as October guest designer for The Twinery.  This week, I created a fun, leafy card.  I used Twinery Twine to accent my design.  Take a peek:

I first used some Solid Cappuccino, Mandarin, Marigold and Strawberry twines to stitch the spines of my leaves.  These colors coordinated perfectly with Doodlebug's Friendly Forest papers!

To top it all off I created a bow from Solid Mandarin, Marigold and Cappuccino twines.

I love how just a little twine can have such a big impact!  That's it for me today.  I'll be back with my last project next Friday!  Thanks for stopping by.

The Twinery: Paper Pumpkin

Hi Everyone, today, I have another project that I created for my Guest Design spot over at The Twinery this month.  I found this adorable little pumpkin in the Silhouette Store.  It was designed by Lori Whitlock.

I put the pumpkin together using some papers from Doodlebug's Friendly Forest & Happy Camper Collections.  I created the twine spirals by dipping some Honeydew Solid Twine in some fabric stiffener, winding it around a pencil & letting it dry.  When you pull it off the pencil, it maintains the spiral shape.

From there, I simply glued the spirals to the top of my pumpkin!  I think the twine added the perfect touch!

That's it for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Twinery: Guest Designer for October

Hi Everyone, I'm back at The Twinery again as October Guest Designer.  This week I put together a fun Halloween card, take a peek!

I used some goodies from Doodlebug Design to piece together my card including some Sprinkles Vellum, some Chippers letters and of course the spider Doodlepop!  Only Doodlebug can make a spider cute!  To create my spider web, I placed a die-cut spider web behind my vellum & used it as a guide to glue down my Charcoal Striped Twinery Twine.  I love the way it turned out!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

The Twinery: October Guest Designer

Hi Everyone!  I'm back guest designing at The Twinery this month!  For my first post, I created a fun card for my Mother-in-Law's Birthday...take a peek:

I love the chalkboard trend, and thought this Chalkboard Easel Card from Lori Whitlock was too cute!   I used some Doodlebug Friendly Forest and some chalkboard paper from Canvas Corp to put it together.  The banner is strung with some Solid Honeydew Twine

I also used some Solid Strawberry Twine to create my balloon string.

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Right at Home Scrapbooking: Fall Subway Art

Hi Everyone, I have a fun fall-themed subway art project that I created for Right at Home Scrapbooking.

This was created using Lori Whitlock's Autumn Leaves Silhouette file, and some fun goodies from Simple Stories new Sweater Weather collection.  I first cut the file from my background paper, and backed the empty letters with some cardstock.

Next, I re cut a couple of the words from the Sweater Weather patterned papers, and popped them up over the original letters using some foam tape for a bit of dimension.

I finished off the frame with some Gold Shimmer twine from The Twinery and a few more leaves that I cut from the Sweater Weather papers.  It all went together pretty quickly and is perfect for fall decorating!  That's it for me today, I'll be back tomorrow with a fun mini album I created for Doodlebug Design using the new Ghouls & Goodies!  Thanks for stopping by.

The papers and stickers are from the My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste Charm collection.   The pictures are just some silly selfies my husband and I took on a recent weekend down in Cape Cod.

I'll be back tomorrow with the last of the three layouts from my class...that's it for today, thanks for stopping by!

The Twinery: June Guest Designer Flag Card

Hi Everyone, I'm back today with my last Guest Design Post at The Twinery!  It's hard to believe that the Fourth of July is next week!  I decided to put together a fun card to celebrate.  Take a peek:

I started out with a Ladybug Paisley card base from Doodlebug Designs and some papers from Doodlebug's Patriotic Parade Collection.   To create my flag design, I first drew a grid on the back of my white paper.  Next, I punched the stitching holes with my paper piercer.  Then using Maraschino & Denim Solid Twines, I cross-stitched the flag pattern.

Here's a close up of the stitching.  I added some Doodlebug Lily White Sequins for the stars on the flag.  That's it for me today!  It's been so nice being back at The Twinery this month!  I'll be back soon with some more projects!

And here's what I came up with:

I love this picture of me and my cousins... it's the first time in years we were all together for my cousin Christine's bridal shower.  It's always a good time with these girls!!!  I used some goodies from My Mind's Eye Now & Then Dorothy collection.  Love the touches of silver!

That's it for me today...I'll be back tomorrow to showcase the layouts I created for the last It's a Plan class at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Twinery: Hello Sunshine

Hi Everyone, I'm up at The Twinery again today with a fun, summery card...take a peek:

I love creating titles and words using twine!  For this card, I used some Strawberry Solid Twine to create my scripty hello.  For a tutorial on how to do this, head on over to The Twinery Blog here.

The stamps and dies are all from Lawn Fawn.  I can't get enough of the Life is Good set.  The little crab is just too cute!

That's it for me today.  I'll be back tomorrow with a layout I created for Right at Home Scrapbooking!

More Twinery Fun

Hi Everyone,  I'm up over at The Twinery again today with a fun, summery project.  I pulled out some of my favorite Solid Twines (Caribbean, Honeydew & Midnight Blue), my Hana Ami Flower Loom,

and a plain pair of flip flops...this is what I came up with:

If you've never worked with the loom before, it's really easy...and you can mix and match Twinery colors to come up with so many different combinations!

To attach the flowers , I pulled out my hot glue gun (not low-temp), put a good amount on the back of each flower center, and pressed it to the strap.

And they look really cute with a good pedicure! (any excuse to get a pedi, right?)  Please excuse my pasty Irish feet, summer's just getting started here in New England!  I'll be back tomorrow with a fun layout for the latest issue at Paper Issues, Food for thought!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks A Latte!

Hi Everyone! It feels like forever since I've posted!  Well, I'm back with some fun news...I'm going to be guest designing at The Twinery for the month of June!!  Yesterday was my first post.  I created a fun little project to thank all of those teachers and coaches for the hard work they do!   Gift cards are usually the best and easiest gifts, but I like to make it a bit more special...here's what I came up with:

Since coffee really is the elixir of life, one can't go wrong with a gift card to the local coffee shop! The cup card was made from a Silhouette file and some fun Doodlebug Take Note papers.  I created the sleeve using some Solid Caribbean Twine.

Inside, I added a Doodlebug treat bag to hold the card itself.

Such an easy way to make the gift card a bit more special! That's it for me today.  I'll be back next week with a couple of fun projects for Doodlebug Design, a project for Paper Issues and another project for The Twinery!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Right at Home Scrapbooking: Fabulous

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today I created using the May Mood Board from Right at Home Scrapbooking...take a peek at the board:

And here's my layout... some fun "strike a pose" pics of my daughter and her good friend before their sophomore semi formal ring dance.

I used some My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste papers for my layout...the colors were perfect!  My triangle background was inspired by a PL card created by Nicole from Right at Home.  I cut them using the Jumbo Banner Day Stax from MFT, and stitched them down for some texture.

I added some cut tags cut with my Silhouette.  The Totes Adorbs stamps are from Paper Smooches Slang Gang stamps.

I love this new lace tape from Maya Road...so pretty!  That's it for me today, I'll be back with a layout for the It's a Plan Class at Right at Home and a fun card I created for Paper Issues.  Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 266 Reveal

Hi Everyone!  It's reveal day at Creative Scrappers for sketch 266.  Take a peek at this fun sketch!

I decided to turn the sketch to the left for my layout.  Here's my take:

This picture was taken last fall.  It's my parents, husband, daughter and I at a family party.  My mom used it for her Christmas card.  I thought that Bella Blvd's Family Forever was the perfect match to my picture!

The fun flair is from the Chic Tags April Kit.  The flowers were fussy cut from the Bella Blvd. Sunday Brunch Paper.

To complete my layout I created this fun butterfly using some new Ladybug Sprinkles Vellum from Doodlebug Design.  In place of the circles on the layout, I stitched some swirls using some Solid Midnight Blue Twine from The Twinery.

We'd love to see your take on this sketch!  Link up your creation and you could win a fun prize from our April Sponsor Scraptastic Club

Make sure to stop by the Creative Scrapper's Blog for more inspiration from the design team!  That's it for me today.  I'll be back tomorrow with a fun project for Paper Issues.  Thanks for stopping by!
