August Layout Workshop

Hi Everyone,
I'm finally really getting back into creating...so happy to be crafty again.   I had tons of fun putting together the class layout for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  Take a peek...

I know I've said this before, but I am SO grateful for cell phone cameras!  Since I was laid up for most of the beginning of the summer, I really couldn't get out and take pictures.  I was lucky that my daughter and friends have cell phone cameras and were willing to send me any and all pics that they took!  My daughter's friend took these one day while they were out on our boat in Chatham.  They're just too cute!

I based the layout on Creative Scrappers sketch 217.  I used My Mind's Eye's On the Sunny Side papers...which were perfect for my nautical pictures! I also used some of the newer MFT Dienamics including Sea Charms, Round Banner Stax and Cloud Stax.  I even used some of my new Ocean Twinery Twine!  I think it's my favorite new color.

I'll be back later this week with some DT work for Right at Home.

Sketch 215 Creative Scrappers

This was supposed to be my first reveal for Creative Scrappers.  I have decided not to be part of the team at this time due to possible surgery, but the awesome Kristine Davidson has told me that she would be happy to have me back for the next term.  Since I did the first layout already, I wanted to share it.  It's based on Sketch 215 which is a real beauty designed by the fabulous Jenny Evans.  Here's a peek at the sketch:

And here's my take on her sketch...

These are a couple of my favorite pictures. My daughter LOVED our day trip to Atlantis last spring.  I think she would've stayed there forever if we had let her!

I used the awesome Dear Lizzy Neapolitan from American Crafts.  The colors in this collection are gorgeous.  The stripes were my favorite!  The line also has some great stickers and chipboard accents.

Make sure to check out the other  reveals over at Creative Scrappers, and be sure to play along and link up your layout using this sketch.  You could win an awesome prize package!

On a side note, I'm fine...just a little issue with a herniated disc in my back that needs to be dealt with.  If my blog seems neglected over the next few weeks, rest assured, I will be back in full swing as soon as I can.  Thanks for your patience!!
