Creative Scrappers & The Cut Shoppe Team Up!

Hi Everyone...I'm thrilled to be guest designing for The Cut Shoppe today!  If you're not familiar, you're going to want to check out this fun Etsy Shop full of great cut files designed by Ashley Horton!!

The Cut Shoppe teamed up with Creative Scrappers to create some fun layouts based on Sketch 276.  take a peek at the sketch....

and here is my layout...I love the grid design! It works perfectly with the cut files I chose... That Darn Cat and Borderlines.  The papers are from Amy Tangerine's Plus One collection.  I thought the black along with the bright, fun colors & patterns worked with the grid design of the sketch.

I tried to use as many of the cat cut-outs that I could!

The hearts are from the Borderlines files...

I finished it off with a definition of Cat-titude (thank you Urban Dictionary...), a cat clip from Studio Calico and some really cute kitty flair from A Flair for Buttons!

Make sure to stop by both the Creative Scrappers Blog and the Cut Shoppe Blog to see the layouts created by the whole team!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Right at Home Scrapbooking: It's a Plan Class Layout 3

Hi Everyone... I have the final layout from my March It's a Plan Class at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  The class was this past Saturday...we had a great time.  One of my students was there even though her daughter was getting married that night!!  I was flattered!  Here's the last layout from the class using Pebbles From Me to You.

Such a silly picture...my daughter and her friend enjoying some smoothies after a long day of dress shopping for their Ring Dance. (Semi formal where they get their class rings).  Thankfully it was a successful trip for them both!

I finally got to play with my new Amy Tangerine Plus One Dies.  That little camera is too cute!  That's it for today...just a quick post!  I'll be back on Thursday with a layout for Doodlebug Design featuring the new Springtime Collection!  Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 261 Reveal

Hi Everyone...I have a fun reveal today...Creative Scrappers Sketch 261.  Take a peek at the sketch:

I stayed pretty true to the sketch....here's my take...

I had fun with this one using Simple Stories Daily Grind collection...the colors are so bright and happy!  The pics are me and my kitty Daisy...she insists on lap cuddles often, and sometimes humors me and lets me take selfies. (yes, I'm a crazy cat lady....)

This flair button is from PandaEightDesigns...and the cute heart speech bubble is from Maya Road.

In place of the strips in the sketch, I used one of Amy Tangerine's stitching templates to stitch a row of arrows with some Stone Solid Twine from The Twinery.

That's all for today...make sure to stop by the Creative Scrappers Blog to check out all of the projects from the Design Team!  Also, make sure to link up your take on the sketch and you could win this month's fab prize from our February Sponsor Paper Camellia...

More Twine Madness!

Hi Everyone, I'm back with another project for the Anything Goes Twine Madness Challenge at The Twinery.

I recently converted our former "toy room"  into a craft room/guest room.  I guess you say it's technically still a "toy room"  just crafty toys!  Anyway, the walls are newly painted and bare.  They screamed for something!  I decided I'd try to decorate them myself.  This framed piece is my first one...we'll see how long it takes me to do more...

Coffee is one of my life's necessities...so I decided to celebrate it with a fun piece of art!  I used some Amy Tangerine Ready Set Go for the background.  I added some Mister Huey splops for color.  The cups are made from the new Limba wood grain card stock that is available at Paper Issues.  The texture is fabulous!  I adorned the cups with some Amy Tangerine Yes, Please! and the covers are from the American Crafts My Girl line.   The colors go perfectly with the grey hue of my walls.

I attached a piece of Solid Strawberry Twine in the groves of the frame to complete the project...I thought it made the whole piece pop a bit more.  It's amazing what a simple element can do for a whole project!!

Be sure to link up your project to our Twine Madness Challenge.  You could win this FABULOUS prize!  You can find all the details here!

Thanks for stopping by and as always I appreciate your comments!

Twine Madness Challenge at The Twinery

(If you're looking for Paper Issues post click here)

Hi Everyone... I'm here today with a mini album I created to hold my Instagram shots from a recent trip to Key West with my hubby!  I created it for the Twine Madness Challenge we currently have running  at The Twinery!

As soon as I saw this adorable Camera Mini Album file over at Lori Whitlock, I knew it would be perfect for our funny photos. I used mostly Amy Tangerine's Yes Please collection...the colors and the patterns were perfect! The camera shape also reminded me a lot of the cameras in the collection.   I created a twine "camera strap" by braiding some Solid Strawberry Twine (a new favorite for sure!!) and looping it through the ring holding the album together.

Here are some shots of the pages:

The speech bubble is from Evalicious' Escape Tag collection.

First stop...of course... was Margaritaville.  I used an Evalicious badge button and a VERY Old margarita stamp for this page.  I also sprinkled lots of Studio Calico wood pieces throughout the album.

We got a two-day trolley pass on the Old Towne Trolley... it was perfect, brought us all around Key West.  The nice part is you can get off and on at will.

The flair here is right from the Yes Please Collection...so many goodies in this line!

We had a friendly iguana who visited us while we sat by the pool...

Most memorable.. going to the roof of the La Concha hotel to watch the sun set.  Just Gorgeous!

We really were sad to leave!!! Perfect weather, perfect vacation!  It was such a fun trip and the Solid Strawberry Twine was the perfect accent for my album!
Remember to link up your project to our Twine Madness Challenge...you could win a fabulous prize pack!!!  You can find all the details and the link-up here.

April Layout Workshop Project

Hi Everyone...boy...3 posts in 3 days, I'm on a roll!  Just a quick post today to show this month's Layout Workshop Project for Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I got to play with Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic...which is on my list of all-time favorite collections!  These pictures of my daughter are from 2000...I just love watching little ones run around and play!  The sheer look of joy on their faces is just too cute!

I used my Silhouette to cut the title from the background paper, then backed the negative space with some of the papers from the collection.

I also did a little stitching on my layout, using the new Rainbow Teal Shimmer Twine from The Twinery.  The arrow is from Amy Tangerine's new Yes, Please stitching templates.

Finally, the banner was created using a little more Rainbow Teal Shimmer Twine and MFT's Flag Stax Die namics.  If you're local (MA, RI) and would like to join us, call Right at Home Scrapbooking to reserve your spot.  This month's class will be held Friday, April 19th at 7pm.

Thanks for looking today!

The Twinery - Rainbow Teal Shimmer Twine!

All of this week the designers over at The Twinery are showing projects featuring the 10 new Twinery colors.  Today's feature is my favorite...Rainbow Teal Shimmer!  It coordinated perfectly with my new Amy Tangerine Yes, Please! papers!

Yes, this is a very silly picture of me.  My family is always saying that I should scrap myself more so... when my friend Sylvia showed up to one of my scrap classes wearing this fabulous cow hat, I just couldn't resist taking a selfy!

I used  the new Amy Tangerine stitching templates to create the fun camera and arrow designs with the Rainbow Shimmer Teal twine.

I used some of the new Blossom Shimmer Twine as well to accent my designs.

These little camera clips just called out to me...I thought they helped pull out the shimmer factor in both twines.

The flair in the Yes, Please! collection is fabulous!  I used some more Rainbow Teal Shimmer twine to tie one of the buttons onto my picture.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with another layout featuring the new Black Shine twine.  Make sure to stop by the Twinery Blog to see all of the design team's fabulous creations!

CS Sketch 241

It's not my normal week to post for Creative Scrappers, but Kristine's Sketch #241 was a special sketch...it looks just like the new Creative Scrappers Logo, so she asked us all to participate in this week's reveal.  Take a peek at the sketch...it's such a fun one!

And here's my version...I used some Lily Bee Persnickety Papers...I LOVE the patterns and colors..they're so much fun. I also used some Mr. Huey's sprays to spatter the background.  I thought they went perfectly with this silly photo of my daughter listening to the new One Direction Release...she spent the entire day with at least one ear bud in...

I used another one of my Evalicious badges...I can't get enough of them!  I also used some MFT Die namics for the sun, stars and circles.

I created a hidden journaling pocket to hold one of the Index Journaling cards from the Persnickety Collection.

Make sure to stop by the Creative Scrapper's Blog to check out the wonderful creations by the DT.  Well, that's it for today...and this will be my last post of 2012.  I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year!

Ready, Set, GO!

We got some fun Amy Tangerine Ready, Set, Go goodies in our take home kits from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking last month.  I'm very much in love with this collection!  It's full of fun shapes, colors and patterns.  I thought the line would be perfect for this picture of my daughter from our cruise last spring.  She's doing the "Charlie's Angels" pose with our dining wait staff.  These guys were a lot of fun!

I love all the little cardstock shapes that are part of Ready, Set Go...they're so cute!  I also used on of my new Evalicious badge buttons...LOVE everything Evalicious.  If you're not familiar with this company, check out their stuff.... great badge buttons, tags, tabs, stamps, journals...a very fun place.

I loved the little journaling tags, so I made a pocket behind my picture to hold one.

Thanks for looking today...I'll be back Sunday with my first reveal for Creative Scrappers!  Can't wait!
