Using my Silhouette, I created stitch holes for the hearts on the background paper.  I stitched them with some Honeydew Solid Twine from The Twinery.  The Say Cheese stamp and speech bubble die are from MFT.

That's it for today...busy working on LOTs of projects!  I'll have some new Doodlebug goodies soon featuring their new collections from CHA!!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

MFT & Friends Peek

Just a quick post to give you a peek at the layout I created for this month's MFT & Friends Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  We'll be playing with some Lily Bee Persnickety...love the colors and patterns!  Take a peek:

This photo makes me laugh every time I see it!  It's from New Year's Eve and my daughter and her friend were joking around about who they were going to kiss at midnight.  Just so silly!  I used MFT's new Hexagon Stax Die namics as my back drop.  They coordinate perfectly with the colors and patterns of Persnickety!  The little banner pieces and "chevrons" at the top were also cut using MFT Die namics.  The title was cut using my Silhouette.

A few splats of Mister Huey's and a piece of Denim Twinery twine finish off the playful look.  That's all for today!  Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Polka Dot Challenge at The Twinery

Hi Everyone, feels like forever since I last posted!  Today I'm here with the "Let's Polka-dot" Challenge from The Twinery!  Today is the last day to link up your projects!  Make sure you get yours in on time!  You can see all the details and link up here.

I thought since it is almost March, and I am VERY Irish...(I know Skou doesn't sound Irish...I come from a long line of Barrett's, Kelley's, Hickey's, Doyle's, McDonough's....the list goes on....) that I would skip on ahead to St. Patrick's Day with my project...here it is...

I had a lot of fun with this one.  I started with the Polka Dot Shamrock Silhouette file.  I cut it from some new yummy Studio Calico Snippits Paper and filled in the dots with some Seaweed Twinery Twine.

Almost everything I used had some "polka-dot" factor, from the papers, to all the way to the letter stickers I used for my sentiment!

Head on over to The Twinery to see all of the details and the other entries!  Be sure to link up your project by 11:59pm EST tonight to be entered to win these fabby prizes....

The Rainbow Sampler, a $39 value!

Stamps of Life Back to Basics Stamp Set
That's it for today..thanks for stopping by, and I hope you get a chance to play along with The Twinery!  As always I appreciate your comments!

Products Used:  Twine:  Seaweed from The Twinery; Papers:  Snippits from Studio Calico; Washi:  Bella Blvd.; Alpha:  Lily Bee; Other:  Polka Dot Shamrock - Silhouette.

CS Sketch 241

It's not my normal week to post for Creative Scrappers, but Kristine's Sketch #241 was a special sketch...it looks just like the new Creative Scrappers Logo, so she asked us all to participate in this week's reveal.  Take a peek at the sketch...it's such a fun one!

And here's my version...I used some Lily Bee Persnickety Papers...I LOVE the patterns and colors..they're so much fun. I also used some Mr. Huey's sprays to spatter the background.  I thought they went perfectly with this silly photo of my daughter listening to the new One Direction Release...she spent the entire day with at least one ear bud in...

I used another one of my Evalicious badges...I can't get enough of them!  I also used some MFT Die namics for the sun, stars and circles.

I created a hidden journaling pocket to hold one of the Index Journaling cards from the Persnickety Collection.

Make sure to stop by the Creative Scrapper's Blog to check out the wonderful creations by the DT.  Well, that's it for today...and this will be my last post of 2012.  I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year!

Creative Scrappers #240

I can't believe Christmas is in two days.... At this point I'm just hoping I didn't forget anything!  Just in time for the Holiday, I did a Christmas themed layout using Sketch 240 by Nicole Nowosad from Creative Scrappers.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch using the Lily Bee Christmas Cheer Collection.

I tilted the sketch to the right and used one picture instead of two, but otherwise, I stuck with the general layout.

I got to use another one of my Evalicious badge buttons...I just can't get enough of these and I found a Chevron Whimsy button in my stash that coordinated perfectly with the red chevron paper.

In place of the pie chart circles on the sketch, I used some MFT Christmas Ornament Die namics to create some hanging ornaments.

Make sure to stop by the Creative Scrapper's Blog to see the wonderful creations the team has put together.  I'll be back next week with another Creative Scrapper's sketch...it's a special one! I'm off to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with friends and family.  I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season!

MFT Fan Club-November

Happy November everyone!  Just wanted to do a quick post to show you the layout I created for this month's MFT Fan Club over at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I got to play with some Lily Bee Victoria Park.  I love the fun colors in this collection.  They went perfectly with the crazy "selfies" of my daughter and her good friend. (again, I'm so happy for cell phone cameras...it's the only way I get pics of my teen and her friends these days!)  The title is BFFLs...for those of you not into text lingo...Best Friends for Life...

I based my layout on a sketch from the Lily Bee site back in August (here) I used some of the Flag Stax Die namics and I'm in love with the new Sunflower.  It's great for layering and dimension!

I actually did some "spritzing"...I know, brave for me... and LOVE the little hearts floating across the page!

That's it for today, I'm back soon with more layout from Right at Home and my first reveal for Creative Scrappers!

October Layout Workshop

Just dropping in to give you a peek at the October Layout Workshop project for Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I had fun working with some Lily Bee Double Dutch.  I based my layout on sketch 229 from Creative Scrappers.

I love these pics of my daughter and her friend at a local farm.  They had so much fun apple picking, and of course the ice cream didn't hurt either....  I decided to jump on the new Pie Chart bandwagon with this layout...they're lots of fun and a great way to add splashes of color.

I loved the hidden journaling tag on the sketch and decided to keep it as an element.

I was excited to use my new Impression Obsession leaves dies...they're so cute!  And of course I needed to add some Twinery Twine so I made some swirls with Cappuccino twine.  That's all for today...I'll be back soon with some other projects I've been working on!

The Twinery and CASual Fridays

This week The Twinery is sponsoring the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.

What is CAS-ual Fridays?  It's a challenge site for cardmakers.  CAS stands for
CAS
Clean. And. Simple.
uncluttered
lots of open *white* space,
one clear focal point
This week's challenge is called
'Round & Round'
Create anything using two circles

Here's my creation:

I used some fun papers from the Lily Bee Buttercup collection and tons of MFT Die namics including the Sun (circle #1), Flat Cloud, Mini Pennants and Circle Stax (circle #2) for the balloon. I added a little Charcoal Twinery Twine to "tie" it all together. (sorry, couldn't resist....) The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Make sure to check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see what their designers have created with our twine and if you play along, you could win a fun prize pack from The Twinery.

MFT Fan Club Peek

April's MFT Fan Club meeting at Right at Home Scrapbooking is this Saturday, April 28th at 10:00. We have a fun "retro" layout we'll be creating.  Here's the peek:

We'll be playing with some Lily Bee Harvest Market Papers and the AWESOME new Chevron MFT Die namic! I thought they coordinated perfectly with this VERY old picture of me and my mother in our matching hand-made outfits!

The flowers are the MFT Botanical Beauty Die namic and the flag is created using the Banner Day MFT.

If you're interested in joining the MFT Fan Club, pleas call Right at Home Scrapbooking to reserve your spot.  See you Saturday!

Just a quick post to show you the layout I created using the take-home kit from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home.
I "scraplifted" this layout from Nicole Nowosad. She's a favorite scrapper of mine, you can see her original layout here. I used Lily Bee's Memorandum papers and a ton of MFT Die namics.

I LOVE how the yellows match Rosie's eyes! Well I'm off to a weekend of scrapping with some very good friends! I'll be back next week with the latest reveal from Let's Capture these sketches !

Some Lily Bee & MFT Goodness

I got to do a very fun project for the DT over at Right at Home Scrapbooking this week. I was asked to do a home decor project featuring some Lily Bee Designs and My Favorite Things Die namics. I opted to do a photo tray, something I've never done before, and I'm so happy with how it came out!

The pictures are from a trip to Chatham a few (ok quite a few) years ago. My daughter LOVED playing in the waves and sand! I created a beach scene using the MFT Cloud, Sun, Wave and Woodgrain Fence Die namics.

The clouds, sun and roses are Canvas Corp. canvas that I colored with Glimmer Mist and cut.

Don't the rosettes look like shells??

And a banner to top it all off with some Charcoal Twine from the Twinery. I'm so happy with the results of this project! Can't wait to hang it in our new room!

Picket Fences

I'm back with my latest post for LCOM using Lily Bee Picket Fence. LOVE the colors in this line!

We took a ride around the Keys one day on our vacation and stopped at this great restaurant right next to the Seven Mile Bridge. The view was gorgeous, and so were the flowers.

I made the flowers using the MFT Upsy Daisy die... love how they come out! I'm also loving the newsprint pattern!

You can get Lily Bee Picket Fence at LCOM now... they also have a couple other Lily Bee lines that are so pretty!!

May RAH Sketch

Hi Everyone... it's Right at Home sketch time again. Our DT Coordinator Frances came up with a great sketch to work with this month. Here's my take on it.

My kitties provide me with endless photo ops!! Even when they're just lazing around (which is most of the time!) I used Bella Blvd.'s new line Tailwaggers and Cat Naps for this layout. The line is just adorable!

I spritzed the twill tape and Maya Road zipper trim flower with Shimmerz Spritz to give them color. The rolled flower was made using MFT's Rolled Flower Die-namic. The button flower and cute little lady bug are from My Little Bit of Whimsy.

I just love that little lady bug!!! That's it for now, be back later this week with some more Lily Bee layouts!
