Doodlebug Design | Land That I Love Envelope Box Card

I love the 4th of July.  We usually get together with friends to celebrate and watch the fireworks on our boat.  It's always such a great time !  So of when I got a chance to play with some Land That I Love collection I thought it would be fun to create a fireworks card.  Take a peek...

For the base of my card I altered one of Lori Whitlock's Envelope Box Card Files.   I made the base from some of the Hip Hop Hooray and the graph side of the America the Beautiful papers. Then I started to work decorating it!

For the fireworks I combined stickers from both the Icon and Mini Icon sheets.  I love that they are different sizes!  The flags are from the Odds & Ends Pack.

And of course I had to have someone setting off the fireworks!  I love the little Sammy eagle DoodlePop... I thought he added the perfect amount of dimension and his little beak is adorable..  I have him holding one of the fireworks from the Firecrackers DoodlePops.  Yes, I used DoodlePops!  Usually I just like to hoard them!

For my sentiment I combined the July 4th from the Mini Icon Stickers and the happy sticker from the This and That Sheet.

Doodlebug Design | Petite Prints and Cut Files

The Doodlebug Design Team is featuring some of their all time favorite Doodlebug goodies this round, and I have to say, hands down, my favorite Doodlebug Basics are Petite Prints!  They are great to use as fillers on scrapbooking layouts and cards and they always match the collections perfectly!  I combined them with some Doodlebug Cut files to create this fun, summery card... take a peek...

It is summer here in New England, so of course, we make margaritas!  How cute is the smiling blender?? I started with the Made With Love Blender File.  I used a variety of petite prints to make the files look just like the sweet icons in the Odds & Ends pack.  I love how I can duplicate the original colors!  

I also used some sprinkles for the cheeks! On the front of the card, I added the Sweet Summer Strawberry Margarita glass along with the strawberry.  It's great that you can get different tones of the Doodlebug color palette by using both sides of the petite prints like I did with the strawberry.

Lori Whitlock | Yellow Punch Buggy!

 Hi Everyone,  there are some fabulous new summer themed files in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, including this absolutely adorable Summer Vintage Bug Box Card (SVG, Silhouette).  It made me think of all those long car rides as a kid, where you scanned the roads for a "yellow punch buggy" (no punches back!)  So of course I had to make a yellow version.  Take a peek...
