Echo Park at LCOM

Hi Everyone... I'm back with my second layout from LCOM using Echo Park's For the Record. I had these great pictures of my daughter at a gym meet... all of them showed her airborne! I was saving them for a single layout, and once I saw the hot air balloon on the For the Record sticker sheet, I knew exactly how to scrap them! I used Maya Road Tiny Kraft tags to label the photos and had a great time finding the perfect element stickers to add to the layout!
That's all for now, stop by LCOM soon to check out all of the new goodies coming in daily!

Some RAH Layouts

Hi Everyone... back with some more layouts from the Crop on the Cape...(of the few I actually completed :) ) I got a great bunch of goodies from Lisa at Right at Home Scrapbooking to work with this month... My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose Collection. I LOVE this line. It has tons of blues and greens and begs to be distressed.

My first layout is the annual picture of my daughter and her Cape Cod friends...

I created the layered scallop flowers by stacking and distressing 5 layers and attaching them with a brad. For March, we had a challenge to re-use or re-purpose something on our layout so I used a cardboard coffee sleeve to create my title letters.

My second layout showcases pictures of my kitty Rosie on her first outdoor adventure. (She's an indoor kitty) My husband bought a harness because he thought she'd like the outside... The results were mixed, but she did like the flowers! (or maybe it was the chipmunk hole under the bush....)

I created the flowers and butterflies using MFT's Die-namics and the tags and title were made from the recycled coffee sleeves.

That's it for now, I'll be back next week with the last of the layouts I created.. I know, sad, a whole weekend to scrap and only 4 completed!

First LCOM Layout

Hi Everyone! I'm back from a fabulous weekend down at the Crop on the Cape!! I went with a group of 8 friends, and we had a blast!! Of course, I didn't get tons done, too much laughing and gabbing!! I was able to complete my first layout for the LCOM Marketing Team!! I was lucky enough to play with Echo Park's For the Record line.

I took this picture of my mother and daughter last year on my daughter's birthday... I love how it came out!! The layout is based on Sketch 144 from Creative Scrappers. I had lots of fun with the embellishments on this one... the zipper flowers are made from Maya Road Zipper trims. I colored the blue and red ones using some Shimmerz Spritz and Luminarte.

The banner was made using Maya Road's new canvas banner minis and topping it with Maya's yellow ruffle trim.

Finally, the best part, my good friend Lynn Kopas who designs for Petaloo, found this adorable dragon fly in her stash. It matched my mom's shirt perfectly!! I colored him with some Shimmerz Spritz and hand stitched a little swirl to complete him!!

I'll be back soon with some more (of the very few...) layouts that I completed at the crop. Stop by Let's Capture Our Memories soon to check out all of the new goodies that are coming in daily!

Layout Club Project

Hi Everyone... just wanted to share a layout that I created for the Layout Club at Right at Home Scrapbooking. It's a great club, each month we get a kit to work with and create layouts to share at our meeting. In the meeting we do a project as well! It's a great way to get caught up!

This month we got to work with Basic Grey's Marjolaine line. I LOVE this line.. blues, greens, browns, it's right up my alley! Here's what I came up with:

This is a picture my mother, husband, daughter and me on the front steps of the Chatham Bars Inn. We go there each summer to celebrate my parents' anniversary. I based the layout on Creative Scrappers's sketch 146.

I had lot of fun with the flower embellishments and I couldn't resist adding some cute butterflies made from MFT's Die-namics butterflies.

I finished it all up with some machine and hand stitching. I'm really happy with how this came out!! Well I'm off to the Crop on the Cape this weekend... I'm hoping to be very productive!!

A Little Twig

Hi there... thought I'd share a layout I did over the weekend. It's based on a sketch by Inspired Blueprints, and I used the Little Yellow Bicycle Twig line. This line is awesome, full of my favorite color combo... blue, green and brown!

The Twig line comes with all sorts of great embellies! I fell in love with the canvas banner and the button flowers! The butterflies were created using MFT's Butterfly Die-namic and the mini clothespins are from Canvas Corp... they were just so cute I had to have them!

The pictures are from Caroline's 12th birthday party... so glad the girls can still be goofy! That's it for now.. I'll be back soon with some pictures of our day trip to D.C. We're going down because Caroline's Youth Art Month's flag design won for the state of MA. They're making it into a 3'x5' flag and having a flag raising ceremony at the Capitol! It's very exciting. We've also been invited to visit with our local Congressman, who was unable to make the ceremony but wanted to meet Caroline. Back Soon!
