Ghoul's Night Out

Hi Everyone, I'm here today with a layout I created for The Twinery's "Boo to You" Challenge."  The challenge is an easy one!  Just link up your Halloween-themed projects featuring some Twinery Twine!

For my project I decided to use some of my Solid Charcoal Twine to stitch a spider web!  This picture is from Halloween last year...Love how these girls are still into trick-or-treating!!!

I used Bella Blvd.'s new Trick or Treat Collection for my layout.  To create the web, I just printed a spider web on a piece of paper to use as my template.  Using my paper piercer I punched holes at all the meeting points.  From there all I had to do was stitch!

A little spider completes the look!  Be sure to link up your Halloween creations to this challenge! You could win a $30 credit to The Twinery!!!  The rules and link up can be found here

Thanks for stopping by today and I can't wait to see what you create!

Fallin' For You!

We have a new Issue over at Paper Issues today, Fallin' for You, sponsored by Ruby Rock-it!  The theme can be fall, wedding...or anything related.  I got a huge package of goodies from the Ruby Rock-it's At Last collection.  Since it's been a while since I got married (21 years!!) I decided to scrap a picture of my newlywed cousin and her hubby...the cutest couple I know.  They just celebrated their first anniversary!  Take a peek:

I based my layout on Sketch 253 from Creative Scrappers.  The papers in the At Last collection are really pretty...a combination of peach, aqua and grey...very soft.  I decided they'd look best with a black and white photo, so I converted the picture.  The doily was cut from one of the papers in the collection using my Silhouette.

I think my favorite items in the collection were these chipboard feathers from the package of wedding die cuts. As soon as I saw them I had to use them!

The "to have and to hold" is also from the die cuts package.  The collection also has a selection of glitter borders that are a lot of fun.  I used one behind my picture and the other along the bottom of the page.

I cut the title using my Silhouette as well.  The only items I added were some coordinating Studio Calico sequins.  The "Fallin' For You" Issue will run through November 10th. Be sure to link up any wedding or fall themed projects here, and you could win a prize pack full of Ruby Rock-it's "At Last" collection.   Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!

Tricks and Treats!

Hi Everyone, I have a fun project today that I created for Right at Home Scrapbooking using Silhouette's new Glass Etching Kit.  We saw this kit at CHA and I couldn't wait to play!  Take a peek:

I love these bottles...we get them all of the time at the store's crops usually filled with something fun! I decided to etch a little ghost on one that I took home, and fill it with some treats.  Here's a look at the bottle before I filled it...they're a bit hard to photograph, but they're way cute up in person!

To complete the project, I created a little tag using my Silhouette and some adorable Bella Blvd Trick or Treat Papers and some Solid Twinery Twines!

The project was much easier than I expected!  The Glass Etching kit comes with a short DVD tutorial that's very helpful!  That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!

The Greatest View

Hi Everyone...
There's a fun challenge going on over at Jot Magazine...The Greatest View... they want folks to link up layouts with their "Greatest View"...which can be anything from scrapping a photo of a wonderful view somewhere,  a layout celebrating an event and your view of it, or even an everyday moment that is a great view.  I had the absolute perfect layout for this!!!  Check it out:

This is one of my all time favorite photos...it's a quick cell phone shot of the sunset in Key West.  We were on the roof of the La Concha hotel on Duval Street.  It's the tallest building in Old Key West and offers the most breathtaking views of the sunset!  Even better, there's a fun bar right there!  Everyone rides up to the roof, grabs a drink and finds a good spot to watch the sun go down!

I used Bella Blvd.'s Sand and Surf collection...perfect for my pic.  I tried to create a little "scene" using the palm tree and waves chipboard pieces.

I kept it simple to focus on the picture...just a few splats of Mr. Huey's to add some pizzazz.  That's it for today...thanks for stopping by!

BOO!

Hi Everyone...I have fun wall hanging project today that I created for the Halloween Hootenanny Issue over at Paper Issues.  Take a peek:

The 3-D Letters are made completely from paper.  I created them using the 3-D Letters Kit from SVGCuts.com.  The bow is a file from the Silhouette store.

I decorated the letters using my favorite Halloween collection this year...Doodlebug's Halloween Parade.

The letters are all connected using Solid Lilac Twine from The Twinery.

Only Doodlebug can make a spider look cute!

And my favorite was the Kitty Doodlepop!  Check out all the Halloween goodies at the Paper Issues Store...and use my code, KATHYS for a 20% discount!

Be sure to link up your Halloween projects here by October 27th and you could win a complete set of all the new Heidi Swapp ColorShine sprays!  Thanks for stopping by!

Another Twinery Challenge - In the Round

Hi Everyone..I'm here today with my take on The Twinery's latest Challenge "In the Round."  The challenge is to use baker's twine and circles of some sort to create a fun project to win a great prize!

Here's the layout I created.  It's based on Creative Scrappers Sketch 251 and features my "Soft Kitty" Rosie. I used the new My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste Adorbs Collection.

I incorporated a number of circles into my layout, including these stitched spirals using Solid Honeydew, Solid Denim and Solid Strawberry Twine. .  I also used a number of "circle" embellishments like the Adorbs enamel dots and buttons and the adorable polka dot washi.

The wood heart veneers are from Studio Calico and the adorable Heart Clip is from Allison Kreft Recorded Collection.

There are still a couple of days left in the challenge!!  We'd love for you to play along and we cannot wait to see what you create!  Just use twine and a "circle" pattern of some sort and you can enter to win our fabulous prize...

All the details and the link-up can be found here!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Pumpkins!

Just a quick post to show you the project I'll be teaching at Right at Home Scrapbooking this week.  It's a fun Pin-spired fall centerpiece using some wooden blocks, paper and paint!

I used some of the awesome orange patterned papers from Pebbles Thirty-One Collection.  They were perfect for pumpkins!  The leaves were cut using a Silhouette file and some paper from LYB.  They even smell wonderful as they are made from cedar! (beautifully cut by Lisa from Right at Home...that girl can rock a table saw!)  That's it for today...I'll be back tomorrow with a project for The Twinery's In The Round Challenge!

A Project Life-like Layout

I have another Bella Blvd. Layout today...featuring some fun pictures taken at the Taylor Swift concert this past summer.  Every year she comes to Gillette Stadium, and every year we go!  This year was her "RED" Tour... the girls dressed accordingly.

I'm not a Project Lifer...but I really like a lot of the elements used in PL.  I thought it would be fun to incorporate the 3x4 card concept into a layout.  I used the Bella Blvd. All American Collection mostly for this project, along with a few things from their Sophisticates line.

The little word stickers included with all the Bella Blvd. collections are perfect for Project Life!

I love the little crochet hearts and the Bella Washi !! That's it for today...I'll be back with a couple of projects this week for The Twinery and Paper Issues!  Thanks for stopping by!

Made for Each Other

Well, I had planned on having this ready Thursday for our ACTUAL Anniversary...but you know how it goes.... My husband and I just celebrated our 21st Anniversary...which means I now have to stop saying I'm 29 because that means I got married at 8 years old....a bit unbelievable...anyway... I snapped this picture one morning last week...thought it was funny, and decided to scrap it!  The back of the "Real Men" mug is funny too...it says "Some men are born to cats, others have cats thrust upon them."

I love the new Day to Day collection from Doodlebug Designs.  It is just too cute!  I'm especially in love with the adorable little coffee cup DoodlePops and the little "Potty People"!!!

There's a little of everything on this layout...some spritzing, some stitching, some stamping.  It was nice to do a layout just for fun!

That's it for today...I hope to have another layout up this week!  Thanks for stopping by.

Snapshots from CHA!

Hi Everyone...it's been a slow blog week!  I've been busy working on a lot of projects...just not ones I can post right now!  I do have a fun Bella Blvd. layout to share...one of my entries for their DT call.  I didn't make the team, but I'm loving the layouts!  Take a peek at my first one...

I went to my first CHA this past summer with the girls from Right at Home Scrapbooking.  One of my FAVORITE parts of CHA was meeting some of the ladies I've been FB friends with, in real life!  These are some of the Instagram pictures I took.  Appropriately...I used Bella Blvd.'s new Snapshots collection.  It's full of fun patterns, colors and embellies.

Here I am with Aimee Maddern, my fellow designer from Paper Issues.  We were at the Doodlebug booth.  The stamp is from Evalicious and the fun CHA Flair is from PandaEight.

And here's another Paper Issues Girl...Leah L'Orange.

And with Suzanna Lee... we both were on the Creative Scrappers Team together last winter.  The pictures I do not have close-ups of are of me with Lisa and Holly from Right at Home, Me with Kristy Dalman from Paper Issues and me with Stephanie Smokovich owner of Bella Blvd.  It was really a great time!  That's all for today...I'm hoping to be back Thursday with a fun layout to celebrate my 21st wedding anniversary!!!  Thanks for stopping by.
