Paper Issues: Say Cheese Issue

Hi Everyone...just a quick post to share the card I created for Paper Issues latest issue, Say Cheese, sponsored by Maya Road.

I LOVE Maya Road Chipboard pieces.  You can do so many things with them.  For my card I covered them with some fun Doodlebug Designs Sugar Shoppe Papers, and also painted some with some Smooch.  They hold up to just about anything!!  Have you linked up to our latest Issue???  We're looking for projects that:
  • Use camera embellishments.
  • Showcase a favorite photo.
  • Think about using "Say Cheese" as a title.
  • Do you have any photos featuring cheesy smiles? Let's see 'em!
  • Add Polaroid-style frames to your project.
  • Share a project featuring Instagram, Polaroid or vintage photos.
  • Tell us about the silly things your kids (nieces, nephews, grandchildren, etc.) say.
  • Use Maya Road products.
Make sure you link back to Paper Issues too!  You could win a fun goodie bag from Maya Road.  That's it for me today.  I'll be back tomorrow with some fun summer PL cards I created for Right at Home!

Creative Scrappers # 246

I'm starting off a very busy week of projects with the latest from Creative Scrappers...sketch 246 by Juliana Michaels.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on her sketch.

I basically stuck with the sketch as is...just slightly altering things.  I love these pictures of my daughter.  I took them during our "Christmas Card Photo Session" last fall.  You know it's a good session when even the out takes are usable!  I used the Pink Paislee Secret Crush collection.  I'm completely in love with this line.  The colors, the patterns, the embellies...everything is awesome.  For the title I used one of the Pink Paislee Artisan Words that I colored with some pink Smooch.  It took FOREVER to dry, but it was worth it!

In place of the circles on the sketch, I used some Artisan Chipboard Hearts that I colored with some distress inks.  I love how the chipboard has a resist chevron pattern!

The little photo frames are precious...couldn't resist using one on this silly pic.

Be sure to check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Creative Scrappers team over on the blog.  If you'd like a chance at the prize from this month's sponsor... a free one year subscription to Scrapbook and Cards Today , be sure to link up your take on this sketch on the Creative Scrappers blog by February 28th.
