Camp Memories

Facebook and cell phone cameras are my saving grace these days.  My teenage daughter doesn't let me take her picture so much anymore, but will allow me to use pics her friends take and post.  I've really gotten some great pics this way, including this one from her trip to camp this past summer.  I guess I should have warned her that it was dangerous to fall asleep in a cabin full of girls!!!

After two weeks of camp, packing to go home was just a bit too much for her!  She fell asleep on the floor on top of her bag, and her cabin mates took advantage of the funny shot! My layout is based on sketch 221 from Creative Scrappers.  I used the fun Jillibean Soup Neopolitan Bean Bisque Soup from the take-home kit I received from the Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.

The stickers and punch outs were perfect for my pic...my favorite is the "I'm not here right now..." tag.

I added some Jillibean epoxy buttons I had in my stash...the colors matched perfectly!  That's all for today...I'll be back this weekend with a peek at the MFT Fan Club Layout for October!

Scrapbook and Cards Today

Make sure to check out the fall issue of  Scrapbook and Cards Today which comes out today.  They have an updated format with some new goodies!

And....I have a layout in this issue too!!

I created this layout using Bella Blvd's Midterm.  It shows my daughter on the first day of 5th grade (first day of middle school) and the first day of 8th grade...can't get over how much she changed.  I added some pockets with journalling tags, including age, height, favorite book, movie, friends...etc...

I'll have to do another like this soon now that she's in high school!  Thanks for peeking and make sure to go to Scrapbook and Cards Today to download your copy today!

The Twinery and Write, Click, Scrapbook!

This week, the designers over at Write, Click, Scrapbook have been showcasing projects using Twinery Twine.  They've really outdone themselves with some beautiful projects, including some crocheted earrings!

Today, a few of us from The Twinery will be featured on their blog.  I created a fun fall layout using a picture of my daughter from a few years ago...it's one of my favorites!

I just love the look on her face!  She still can't resist a big pile of leaves!  I die cut the leaves from the Kraft card stock, and backed the negative space with some gorgeous fall papers from Bella Blvd.'s Thankful Collection  To make the leaves pop a bit more, I stitched around them with some Buttercream, Mandarin, Maraschino, Cappuccino and Seaweed Twinery Twine.

Make sure to stop by both The Twinery Blog and Write, Click, Scrapbook to check out the projects my teammates have created and to look at the other posts from this week...when you see the gorgeous projects, you'll be happy you did! You can also enter to win a fun Twinery Prize Package over at Write, Click Scrapbook!

Some Apple Cider

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with a layout I created for the DT over at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I got to play with some Apple Cider by Bo Bunny which was perfect for my apple picking pic from Labor Day weekend.

Love this pic of my daughter and her friend, they're so cute!  The weather was gorgeous...still very warm, and the apples were so sweet!

I created a little sun accent by cutting a circle and stitching some rays.

The apples were fussy-cut from the "Orchard" paper in the Apple Cider Collection. The banner is an MFT Die namic Banner Day Stax and some Honeydew and Cappuccino Twinery Twine.

Apple Cider also comes with some awesome stickers...including these word stickers and a variety of alphas.

I'll be back tomorrow with a layout for The Twinery and Write, Click, Scrapbook!

Photo Op

Hi Everyone...just wanted to share the layout I created for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  Take a peek...

I used Jillibean Soup's Neopolitan Bean Bisque Soup papers and a bunch of MFT Die namcics and stamps for my layout...I am in LOVE with all of the fun patterns and colors!  They went perfectly with the fun and goofy pics from my daughter's 14th Birthday party.  The girls had a blast with some fun mustache, lip and feather boa picture props!

I love the "negative space" trend that's everywhere these days and used the technique for my title.  I also colored this ADORABLE little mistable camera from Studio Calico.

Flags are another trend I'm fond of these days and I made some using the MFT Flag Stax and some fun pins.  Well that's all for today...I'll be back soon with some more projects!

A Touch of Fall

Hi Everyone,

Today I wanted to share the layout I created for Right at Home Scrapbooking's color challenge for September.  Here are the colors we were given to work with... don't they just scream fall?

And here is my layout. I used the new collection Thankful from Bella Blvd...the colors were perfect!   I tried creating my first sunburst...and was very happy with the results!

To keep the focus mostly on the sunburst, I kept the rest of the layout pretty simple.  The adorable little turkey is from the cute cuts paper in the collection...and I got to use some of my favorite new flag embellies!

I'll be back next week with some more goodies!  Enjoy the weekend!
