A Little Paradise

Hi Everyone, I have a fun travel-themed layout today that I created for Layouts and Lemonade at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I'm not a project lifer, but I really love a lot of the elements that it incorporates, so I decided to take those things and put them on a layout.  These pictures are some of my favorites from our trip to Key West last April.

I used Studio Calico's Atlantic Collection and tons of MFT Dienamics.  I LOVE the new Laina Lamb World Traveler Dienamics...they are just so cute!

Makes me want to go back NOW!!!  That's all for today...thanks for stopping by!

A New "Issue" !

There's a new Issue up at Paper Issues Today!! The theme is "Endless Summer".  Basically it's an anything goes Issue as long as it's summer related!  We just can't seem to let go, even though we're well into the start of school.  Denial, Denial, Denial!!!!  Anyway, I decided to create a layout featuring this hysterical picture of my daughter and her friend, diligently doing their required summer reading on our flight to Florida this past August.

I just love the "annoyed teenager" look I'm getting from my daughter.  Classic.  For this layout I used a sketch I found on Pinterest from Citrus Twist Kits...a great source of sketches and ideas!  The papers, stickers and flair are from the Fancy Pants Memories Captured collection...such a fun all-purpose line full of great colors and patterns.  I also got to use my new Heidi Swapp Black Velvet Color Shine Spray!  Love the deep color!

I used some corrugated Thickers for my title and did some stitching through them....I liked how it coordinated with the black corrugated mat of my photo.

The thought bubble die is from the Lawn Fawn "A Birdie Told Me" set and the Really? stamp is from the Paper Smooches Slang Gang set.

We'd LOVE for you to play along with our "Issue"  Link up your Endless Summer project here and you could win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues Store

"Sew" Darn Cute!

Hi Everyone...I'm here today with my take on our latest challenge at The Twinery  "You're Sew Fine!"

Projects can include sewing-themed items or projects that you have used twine to sew with! I LOVE using twine to stitch on my projects, so I decided to create a fun fall-themed card and stitch with some Solid Cappuccino Twine.

Don't you just LOVE this tree stump card base???  It was created by Kristy the owner of Some Odd Girl Stamps and fellow Paper Issues designer.  As soon as I saw this file I thought of the little Hedgehog DoodlePop from Doodlebug Designs!  It's from their Happy Harvest Collection...a favorite new release of mine!   The cut file didn't have stitching holes so I used my piercer to create a stitching line around the edge.  This is an easy way to add a little something extra to your projects.

And here are some more close ups of my card.

The speech bubble die and stamps are from Lawn Fawn's A Birdie Told me set.  If you would like to play along with our challenge, you could win this FABULOUS prize!

See the original post  here for rules and to link up!  There is also still time to link up to Paper Issue's Twinery Issue here!!  I can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by today.

X Marks The Spot at The Twinery

Hi Everyone,  today I have a layout to play along with The Twinery's X Marks the Spot Challenge

When I first saw this challenge, I immediately thought of my cross-stitch days, and thought I'd incorporate a little cross stitching on a layout.  Here's what I came up with:

The Honeydew, Maraschino, Mandarin and Marigold Solid Twines coordinated perfectly with Doodlebug's  Happy Harvest collection!  To create my "X's" I simply used a ruler to mark my paper where I wanted the stitching to go, and used my paper piercer to punch the holes.

We'd love for you to play along with our challenge too!  If you link up your project, you could win this fabulous Twine Prize!!!

Six FABULOUS Spools of Twine!!! An $84 Value!!

For all the rules and to link up, check our original post here.  In addition, The Twinery is sponsoring the current issue over at Paper Issues.  You can also link up your project there for a chance to win their prize as well.  Make sure to check it out!! Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see your projects!

All Boy!

Hi Everyone, I'm here today with a layout I created for Layouts and Lemonade at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  I never get to scrap boys, so this was a fun one to create.  I even had to "borrow" boy pics from a friend! Take a peek:

All-Boy
Funny side note on this layout...the T-Ball team's name is "The Scrappers".  It was simply meant to be.

All-Boy-a
All About a Boy has tons of great papers and patterns...I loved the Games Paper with the spinners so much that I even created my own spinner up behind the title using a cut file from Lori Whitlock.

All-Boy-b

That's it for today...I'll be back on Thursday with my "X" Marks the Spot project for The Twinery!  Thanks for stopping by.

September's Layout Workshop

Hi Everyone... just a quick post to share the layout I created for this month's Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  It's a bright and fun one featuring Little Yellow Bicycle's Poppy collection.

These pictures are from our trip to Florida last month.  We spent our last day there, wandering around St. Augustine.  It's such a pretty place!

I created a little journaling tag in a pocket from a Silhouette file.  I love hidden journaling!

The poppy flowers are also from a Silhouette file.  They coordinated perfectly with the background paper!  That's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by!

Girl Friends

Hi Everyone,
I have a fun layout today that I created as a make and take for Right at Home Scrapbooking's Layouts and Lemonade.   I got to play with some Little Yellow Bicycle Fern and Forrest Girl, some MFT Die namcics and some Silhouette cut files. Take a peek:

These pictures are from quite a few years ago!  We went with some friends to the Captain's House Inn in Chatham, MA for a formal tea.  It really was a fun time!

The tags, mesh background, and hearts were all cut using MFT Die namics.  The frames and flowers are from the Silhouette Store.

If you're local and interested, Layouts and Lemonade is held a few times a month at Right at Home Scrapbooking.  You pick from a few different layouts created by our designers and sit and create right there!  Make sure to check the store calendar for the next Layouts and Lemonade day.  Thanks for stopping by!!
