Lori Whitlock: Get Well Soon Card

Hi Everyone! Today I have one of the new Get Well Cards from Lori Whitlock,  the Get Well Bandaid Card (available here in the Silhouette Store). I just love the simplicity of this card, it's so cute and colorful!   Take a peek...

I used some fun Doodlebug Design Gingham Linen Petite Prints for this card.  To add a little dimension, I used some foam tape between the layers of the bandaids and also beneath the bandaids themselves. It's just such a cute design, who wouldn't feel better upon receiving this?

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Saba

Hi Everyone!  I actually did a layout for fun recently... not that I don't have fun with my design team projects, but once in a while it's nice to do a layout... just because!  My husband and I recently took a vacation to a very small island in the Caribbean called Saba to visit one of my best scrappy friends Danielle!  She recently moved to the island and is now living the life!  We had such a fabulous time there, it's beautiful!  These photos are from the day we spent at Cove Bay!

Of course I had to use some Fun in the Sun collection from Doodlebug Design... it is the perfect collection for these pictures!  Here are some close-ups...

We had such a great time, I can't wait to go back!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

This is such a cute card, and can be customized for a boy or girl! The papers I chose are from  Doodlebug Design's Sugar and Spice collection, perfect for a new little girl in our family!  Another great feature of this card is that it folds flat and fits into a standard A2 envelope!

For the full tutorial see Lori's Blog here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock: Bridal Shower Card

Hi Everyone!  I'm on the Lori Whitlock blog today with a fun and quick card I made for a recent bridal shower.  I used one of Lori's older cards, the Wedding Dress Card (available here in the Silhouette Store )  Take a peek...

The best thing about this card is that it is so easy to customize.  It comes with multiple pieces for the wedding dress including a full dress as well as a separate top and bottom, so you could use different colors or textures if you wish.    I used the full dress piece and ran it through my Sizzix with an embossing folder to give it a lacy texture. I also added a ribbon and enamel dots. The background paper is from the Lori's new Perfect Princess collection for Echo Park Paper.   It coordinated perfectly with the bride's color scheme!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Hats Off Cut files

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fun  little project I made for a good friend who after 9 years of hard work is getting her Master's Degree in Education!  I'm just so proud of her, she did it all while working, and with 2 kiddos!  Take a peek....

How cute is this little Owl Graduate Girl?  (here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop)  I re-colored the cut file in Silhouette to match her school colors, and print it on  inkjet printable vinyl which comes with laminate that makes it water safe (found here at Expressionsvinyl.com) using a tutorial I found here on the Silhouette School Blog.  The "wicked smaaht"... well it's a Boston thing... we don't like to say our "r's" here!  I can't wait to give it to her!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Pinspired Floral Arrangement

Hi Everyone!   The Doodlebug Design Team was challenged to find a non-paper related pin on Pinterest that inspired us to create something from our Doodlebug products.  I took a look through my Pinterest Boards and found this pin showcasing some Mother's Day floral arrangements.   I just loved the beautiful flowers and decided to recreate this using some Gingham Linen Petite Prints.

My friend called this an "ambitious" project, she was so right!  However, I'm thrilled with the results, it was worth the effort.

I started with the tea cup cut file here.  I pieced it together using some Lily White and Stone Gray Petite Prints.  I then set to making a number of 3D Paper Flowers using various cut files from the Silhouette Store, and more Petite Prints.  I glued wire to the bases of the flowers and arranged them in the cup using some floral foam.  Here are some other views of the flowers in the cup...

And here are some close-ups of the flowers...

The best part?  I have a pretty floral arrangement that will never wilt!  That's it for me today.  Be sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog over the next couple of weeks for more Pin-spired projects!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!
