Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #13

Hi Everyone!  I played along with the latest challenge over on the Lawn Fawnatics blog.  They put together a fabulous mood board, take a peek...

I took inspiration from the colors and the images of leaves and came up with this card...

I used a number of dies for this card including the Wonderful Window Die, the Simple Puffy Clouds Dies, the Simple Stitched Hillside Border, the trees from the Shadow Box Card set and the kitty stamps and dies from the Meow You Doin' Set.  The papers are from the Perfectly Plaid Fall, Perfectly Plaid Chill, Knock on Wood and Water Color Wishes 6x6 pads.   It really went together quickly despite the number of sets used!  Lawn Fawnatics has a new challenge every couple of weeks, play along and you could win a $25 Gift Certificate to the Lawn Fawn Store!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Booville Witch's Hat

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun project featuring the adorable Booville Collection from Doodlebug Design!    Halloween has always been a favorite of mine, I love the costumes, the decorations, and of course... the candy!  My girly is in college now, so no costume pictures for me, so I decided to make a fun Halloween centerpiece this year, take a peek...

As soon as I saw this Witches Hat cut file from Cre8tive Cuts, I knew I had to make it!  I decided to make it a centerpiece for our table this season.  I added a number of 3D and Rolled Flowers by Lori Whitlock and then set to decorating it with the adorable Booville embellishements!  Here are some close-ups...

I love Doodlebug Odds & Ends !!  They are such a fun way to embellish projects.  I especially love the acetate ones, like this ghost I used on the front of my hat.  I also added some Icons Cardstock Stickers, the kitty and the pumpkin.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... only Doodlebug can make a spider cute.  I love the little Silly Spiders Shaped Sprinkles.  I added them to the acetate spider web (which I cut in half)  from the Odds & Ends.  I also included a "mommy" spider from the Odds & Ends.

The adorable ghosts in the Booville Collection are one of my favorites.  I added one from the Odds & Ends and another baby ghost from the Sweet Spirits Doodlepops.

The Eye Candy Shaped Sprinkles are the perfect embellishment to have peeking out between the flowers!  The little bat is from the Cute Critters Mini Doodlepops.

The best part of this centerpiece... it's actually a box that you can fill with some sweet treats!

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Best Fishes

Hi Everyone!  I had such a fun time playing with the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Die, I decided to make another card using the Fintastic Friends and Mermaid for You stamp and die sets.  Take a peek...

I love making little scenes!  Again I used a transparency sheet to make one of the inserts for the card so that it appears the little angel fish is floating.  The box is made from Lawn Fawn's Knock on Wood Papers, with a Water Color Wishes background.   I hand cut the sentiment banner.  I gave the card to my Dad for his birthday, he lives by the ocean and loved the fish!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: All About Me Challenge

Hi Everyone! I'm on the Doodlebug Design Blog today with my take on the All About Me Challenge.  I will admit, this challenge was... well a challenge!  I had tons of ideas, but none seemed quite right.  Finally, I was looking on Pinterest and saw some baby milestone chalkboards and thought that it would be fun to use this type of layout for my project!  Take a peek...

I started with some Gingham Linen Petite Prints in Lily White and Beetle to make my "chalkboard"  I added my name and some flowers for decoration.  The flowers are from the Flea Market Flower Cluster Cut file available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop here, and the Silhouette Store here.  I moved them around and cut out the centers, then added some sprinkles to make them look more like they were drawn.

I drew the frame using the sketch pen feature in my Silhouette.  I then labelled all of the sections using various Doodlebug Alphas.  I don't love my handwriting, but since this was about me, I decided the details should  be written in my hand!

The little pictures were created in Photoshop then printed and cut.

In addition to the pictures I thought it would be fun to add some Doodlebug Shaped Sprinkles and Mini Icon Stickers as well.  I will admit, it took me a long time to complete this, but I'm pretty happy with the results!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #12

Hi Everyone!  Every once in a while I find some time to do a "just because" project and yesterday was one of those day!  My friend came over to craft and we decided to each create a card to play along with the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge,  Challenge #12 which was to create a scene.  This is what I came up with:

I used the new Shadow Box Die,  the Jump for Joy Stamp set and the Simple Puffy Cloud dies to create this fun fall scene.  I cut the front "hill" of the Shadow Box Die from acetate to make it look like the cute little hedgehog was flying through the air to jump in the leaves.  Here's a view from above.  I just love the dimension the Shadow Box Card Die allows you to create!

The banner was made using the Bannertastic Stamps and dies and the sentiment is from the Sweater Weather stamp set.  My main card box is made from Doodlebug Design's Gingham Linen Petite Prints in Maple and other papers are from the Lawn Fawn's Sweater Weather, Perfectly Plaid Chill, and Watercolor Wishes 6x6 pads.  This really was a fun card to put together!  As an aside it was also the first time I used my Tim Holtz/Tonic Stamp Platform.  I can honestly say this tool has made me love stamping again.  It is awesome!   That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
