Doodlebug Design: More Patriotic Parade

Hi Everyone, I'm back with my second Doodlebug Patriotic Parade project.  It's a fun little home décor piece.  I made a frame and easel completely from paper using a Silhouette file by Lori Whitlock.  I used it to frame a cute little flag made from some Doodlebug Washi, Star Sprinkles and Sequins.

I started with some Bubble Blue Swiss Dot Washi and added some Bandanna, Picnic Basket, Lady Bug Swiss Dot Washi and Ladybug Sequins for the red flag stripes.  The white stripes were created using some Lily White Sequins, Lily White Swiss Dot Washi and some Lily White Chevron Washi.

To finish the frame I used some of the new Ladybug Heart Sprinkles (my new FAVORITES!)

That's it for me today.  Make sure to head over to the Doodlebug Blog to find more Patriotic Parade Inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Design: Patriotic Parade

Happy Memorial Day everyone, and a special thank you to all those who serve our country!  I'm up on the Doodlebug Design Blog today with a couple of projects using the new Patriotic Parade.  This is such a fun collection, perfect for all sorts of patriotic projects!  Here's the layout I created...love these pics from back in 2004 at the Chatham, MA Fourth of July Parade.

My title was cut using a file I found in the Silhouette Store.  I completed it with some Teensy Type Letters.

The balloons are from the Icon Stickers Sheet.  I embellished them by stitching some strings using the Red, White & Blue Doodle Twine.  The ADORABLE stars are from the new Red, White and Blue Star Sprinkles!

I LOVE the little pinwheels from the Stars and Stripes Pinwheel Craft Kit!  They coordinate perfectly with the new Patriotic Parade collection!

To complete the layout I created a small cluster using some Air Mail Washi tape, some Icon Stickers and a silver star from the new Star Sprinkles!

I'll be back tomorrow with my second project using Patriotic Parade...make sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog to check out Jodi's adorable Canada Day layout and all of the other projects from the design team as well as find out how to win this collection for yourself!  Thanks for stopping by.

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 269

Hi Everyone...it's reveal day over at Creative Scrappers!!  Sketch 269 is a Project-Life-like sketch...take a peek:

And here's my take on the sketch...using lots and lots of goodies from Chic Tags Let's Go collection, and a couple of items from their March kit.

Let's Go was the perfect collection to showcase these pictures from my daughter's recent French Trip to Montreal.  About thirty-five kids from her high school took the bus up to Canada and spent 4 days running around Montreal.  They saw just about everything, including a Cirque de Soleil Show!

I LOVED the gold accents in the collection including the map from the World Traveler Vellum sheet .  I decided to cut out North America and geotag Montreal!  I added more gold by stitching with some fun gold thread. I also love the "places" wood veneers and used a few of them throughout my layout.

The Canada Luggage tag from the Destination paper was so perfect!

That's it for me today...I'll be back tomorrow with a Doodlebug project featuring the all new Patriotic Parade Collection.  Make sure to stop by the Creative Scrapper's Blog to check out what the Design Team created!  Link up your take on this sketch and you could win a fun prize from our June Sponsor, Noel Mignon!  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Issues: It's Raining Cats and Dogs

I'm up on the Paper Issues blog today with another project for the It's Raining Cat's & Dogs Issue sponsored by Simple Stories.  I used some more of the goodies from the Sn@p! Cat Collection to make a fun card...

I used the "b" sides of some of the Sn@p! Cat 3x4 cards to create my background.  The Kitty was fussy cut from another 3x4 card.  My speech bubble was created using the fun Speech Bubble Border die from Lawn Fawn, and some stickers from the Sn@p! Cat Stickers.
There's still time to link up your projects to our It's Raining Cats & Dogs Issue...you could win a fun prize pack from Simple Stories!  That's it for me today...thanks for stopping by!

Right at Home Scrapbooking: Fabulous

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today I created using the May Mood Board from Right at Home Scrapbooking...take a peek at the board:

And here's my layout... some fun "strike a pose" pics of my daughter and her good friend before their sophomore semi formal ring dance.

I used some My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste papers for my layout...the colors were perfect!  My triangle background was inspired by a PL card created by Nicole from Right at Home.  I cut them using the Jumbo Banner Day Stax from MFT, and stitched them down for some texture.

I added some cut tags cut with my Silhouette.  The Totes Adorbs stamps are from Paper Smooches Slang Gang stamps.

I love this new lace tape from Maya Road...so pretty!  That's it for me today, I'll be back with a layout for the It's a Plan Class at Right at Home and a fun card I created for Paper Issues.  Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 268 Reveal

It's reveal day over at Creative Scrappers!  We got to work with this really fun sketch by Jenny Evans...

Here's my take on the sketch.  I really stuck right with it...  just added some stitching and embellies around the edge.  I used lots of goodies from Simple Stories including elements from the new Sn@p! Cat collection and some papers from the Daily Grind Collection. The arrow sprinkles are from Doodlebug.

The thing I liked most about this sketch is that it begged for embellishment clusters!  I used some goodies from the Sn@p! Cat 3x4 cards, Insta squares and pieces and stickers and added in some fun goodies from my stash.

The & clip is from Maya Road.  I've had them for a while now...so happy to be able to use one!

I found this cute little badge button from Evalicious in my stash...the color was perfect!  Make sure to head on over to the Creative Scrapper's blog to see what the rest of the Design Team created!  Also, be sure to link up your take on this sketch and you could win a prize from our May Sponsor My Creative Scrapbook!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Design: The Graduates

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun layout using the new The Graduates Collection from Doodlebug Design!   This was the perfect collection to create my project celebrating my 25th (gulp) reunion from college!  You have to love the '80's big hair!  I should've taken stock in AquaNet!

The best thing about The Graduates is that you can customize it to go with almost any school color scheme!  I pulled out the gold and black pieces from the collection and added some maroon cardstock... perfect for Boston College!

The back drop for my title was created using some of the gold Sprinkles Vellum.  If you haven't tried it yet, it's wonderful and it cuts well using your electronic die cut machines!

I wanted to show off some more of the patterned papers so I added a little 3x4 card and filled in the circles with different papers.

For final accents I added some of the stickers from the Icon Sticker sheet and some of the new Graduation Star Sprinkles!  They're so sparkly! Make sure to head on over to the Doodlebug Blog to see more design team inspiration and to find out how you can win this collection for yourself!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy NSD & a Layout

Happy {inter}National Scrapbook Day!  I had some fun cropping with the ladies from Right at Home Scrapbooking yesterday.  Wish I could do the whole weekend, but life interferes!  I couldn't let the day go by without a post, so I thought I'd share the second layout I created for the April It's a Plan Class at Right at Home.  It's a two-pager...a rarity for me!

I used some Flower Box papers from Doodlebug Designs.  I think it's one of my all time favorite collections.  The colors are so soft! The pictures are from last year's annual gym sleepover with my daughter's gymnastics team.  Always a fun night!  That's it for me today.  I hope you all have a wonderful, crafty iNSD!!!  Thanks for stopping by!
