Lawn Fawnatics | Challenge 46 Color Inspiration

I found some time to play along with the latest challenge over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog... a fun color challenge ... take a peek....

The colors in this challenge are so soft and pretty!  I decided to grab some Lawn Fawn Inks, watercolor paper and a water brush to make an ombre heart card.

I started by coating my watercolor paper with some water, then I stamped some inks on my craft mat and using my water brush created the ombre effect by painting the ink on the wet paper.  I used Ballet Slippers, Wild Rose, Guava and Grape Jelly Inks.  I then cut the hearts from the paper using the little heart die from the How You Bean, Conversation Heart Add-on set.  I finished the card using the Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables, the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames, Outside-in Stitched Rectangle Stackables and the I Love You Border along with some papers from the Watercolor Wishes and Perfectly Plaid Rainbow 6x6 pads.

Lawn Fawnatics: Color Challenge #32

It's been a while, but I finally found some time to play along with the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge!  Challenge 32 is a color challenge, perfect for summertime!

And here is the card I created for the challenge...

I used a few of the new dies and stamps to make my shaker including the You Are Sublime Stamps and Dies, the Porthole Frames and the Stitched Wave Borders.  For papers, I used Lawn Fawn Cardstock in Narwhal, Blue Jay, Peacock and Mermaid along with some Gotta Have Gingham Nellie.  I finished off  the porthole with with some Silver Lining Nuvo Drops.  I love how it turned out!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #25: Color Challenge

Hi Everyone!  It's Lawn Fawn's 8th Birthday and Lawn Fawnatics 1st Birthday this month !  They put together a color challenge to celebrate....

How fun are these colors?  It made me immediately think of the new Really Rainbow papers!  I put together this card to play along (and celebrate! )

I started with the new Selfie Frame Dies.  For the "picture" I used a masking technique and a kitty stamp from the Meow You Doin' Stamp Set.  I added some little hats and the balloon from the Party Animals Stamp Set to finish it off.  The background paper is from the Really Rainbow 6x6 Pad.  So cute, and the perfect card for any crazy cat lady :).  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 17 Inspiration Board

Hi Everyone!  I played along with the most recent challenge over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog, they put together this fun inspiration board for Challenge 17:

I used the greens, red and yellow colors along with the wreath and ornament inspiration photos and came up with this...

I started with the Large Wreath Dies and some papers from the Peace Love Joy 6x6 pad.  I added the kitty from the Meow You Doin' Stamps & dies wearing the hat from the Happy Howlidays Stamp & dies set.  I finished it off with some Gold Sparkle Twine!  To add a little sparkle I put some Stickles on the hat and some Glossy Accents on the wreath berries.

Doodlebug Design: Smash-Up Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fun project for the Doodlebug Smash-Up Challenge. The Smash-Up Challenge is a combination of our two most popular challenges:  the "Color Challenge" and the "Inspired by" Challenge!  The DT each picked one of the Doodlebug colors to feature in a project that is inspired by one of our favorite Doodlebug projects!  I chose Lilac as my color, and Traci Penrod's CREATE Letter Project as my inspiration.  Here's what I came up with...

I made these for my daughter, who will be attending Holy Cross (HC) in the fall.  The college's colors are purple and white.  I created the marquee letters using a files I found in the Silhouette Store using some Lilac Swiss Dot Petite Prints, as well as some Lilac Dot Grid Petite Print paper.  Once they were put together, I added some battery operated stringed lights and bulbs from Heidi Swapp.  They took a little patience, but I'm thrilled with how they turned out!  Here are some close ups...

Doodlebug Designs: Design by Color Challenge

Hi Everyone, I have a fun layout today for Doodlebug's Design by Color Challenge.  The Design Team was asked to pick one color from the Doodlebug palette and create a project that was at least 75% that color.  It was a hard choice (I love ALL Doodlebug colors...) but I chose Limeade.  And as luck would have it, I had the perfect picture to complement my color choice!

 

For those of you who are not sports fans, or familiar with Boston landmarks, the Green Monster (properly pronounced "Monstah" in Boston) is the left field wall of Fenway Park.  My husband and my daughter recently attended a concert at Fenway and were kind enough to get their photo snapped in front of the wall! (ok, let's be honest, I sent them with explicit instructions to do so...)  All I had to do was find all of the Limeade goodies in my Doodlebug Stash!
 

 

 

 

I love that Doodlebug uses the same color families in their collections.  I could mix and match with ease from a number of older and new lines!
