Doodlebug Designs: First Days of School Mini Album

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a mini album featuring Doodlebug's new Back to School Collection.  Every year we take the "first day of school" picture...I decided to put them all in a fun mini to see how my daughter has changed through the years!  Take a peek:

I started with Doodlebug's Plain and Simple 6x6 square chipboard album.  I covered all of the pages with the fun Back to School Papers mixed with some coordinating Petite Prints..  For my title, I mixed and matched a few different Doodlebug Alphabets including the new Skinny Cardstock Stickers, Chippers and Teensy Type letters.

I wanted to keep the feel of the book basically the same throughout, so I created some frame files using my Silhouette Cameo.  On each frame, I used my Silhouette sketch pens to write the grade.  Here's a look at the inside pages...

And then there's that one page that makes me sniffle....

I'm torn between being excited and sad for the first day of Senior Year picture!!!  Back to School's Stickers, Sprinkles and Doodlepops made this mini so easy to put together!  Now a little something for you... I'd love to share the sketch/cut files I created for the photo frames.  You can download the file to use with your Silhouette here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Paper Issues: April Scrap & Chat Challenge Layout

Hi Everyone!  Today I have the layout I created for Paper Issues first ever Scrap & Chat!  PI's Scrap & Chat is a fun, once a month online crop held in our Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook Group.  There is one scrappy challenge and a fun online game... and of course, prizes!  It's a great way to get together on-line with your scrappy friends and get those photos scrapped!  Here's the layout I created....

I used Bella Blvd's new Color Chaos collection, and some Ciao Chip embellishments to put together this layout of my kitty Daisy.  Every morning we have coffee and cuddles... and yes, I am a Crazy Cat Lady!  The PI Scrap & Chat challenge was to use a sketch and at least 3 of 10 items (that were listed)  on your layout.  I used the color orange, an ampersand and stitching.  Here are some close-ups...

Don't worry if you missed the April Scrap & Chat... because there's another one coming up on Friday, May 22nd from 6 - 9pm Eastern... hosted by myself and my sister PI designer Michelle Gallant!  We can't wait! I hope you'll be able to join us.  Well, that's it for me today, thanks so much for stopping by!

Doodlebug Design: Patriotic Picnic

Hi Everyone, today I have a fun layout featuring Doodlebug's Patriotic Picnic!  This collection is full of fun patterns, and stickers.  It's perfect for all of your patriotic projects!  Even better, it coordinates with last year's Patriotic Parade!  I used some papers from both collections to scrap this adorable picture of my daughter and her doll all dressed up for the 2003 4th of July parade in Chatham, MA!

I based my layout on a sketch by Jen Chapin for Paper Issues.  I LOVE the new Red, White & Blue Sprinkles Vellum!!! I die cut some fun stars from it and scattered them on my layout!  Here are some close-ups....

One Last Bunny....

Hi Everyone, I have one last Easter project to share... I created this cute set for Lori Whitlock.  Take a peek...

I started with Lori's Easter Basket cut file, I love this file because it goes together so easily and I could show off both sides of this fun paper from Doodlebug's Hello Sunshine collection.  I then used the new EOS Lip Balm Bunny file to cut this cutie from Doodlebug's Petite Prints papers.

Lori's EOS holders are so cute and perfect for party favors and fun little gifts!  That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Design: Sunkissed Layout

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a layout featuring Doodlebug's BRAND NEW Sunkissed Collection!!  I fell in love with this collection the second I saw it!  It's perfect for summer & vacation projects.  It definitely made me long for warmer weather especially after a record breaking winter here in the Boston area!  Take a peek at my layout, this is the sunset over the Florida Keys... {sigh}

We took a fun sunset cruise from our hotel on Duck Key...it was beautiful! I thought the colors in the Sunkissed collection were perfect for this photo!  I printed the large format photo using the new Cannon Pixma that I won from My Craft Channel!

I'm longing to wear flip flops!!  These cuties were irresistible.  I embellished them with some Tangerine Glitter Sprinkles.

Finally, I die-cut a few fish using the Sunkissed papers, some matching Sprinkles Vellum and the Fish Set dies from Echo Park.  To complete them I added some Beetle Sprinkles for eyes.  That is it for me today!  Make sure to stop by the blog all this week and next to see more Sunkissed inspiration from the Design Team!  Thanks for stopping by!
