Paper Issues: Save the Drama for Your Mama Issue

Hi Everyone!  It's time for the second round of the Paper Issues Issue:  Save the Drama for Your Mama!  The challenge is to create a layout with any of the following:
  • a large, dramatic element on your page like a title, embellishment or photo;
  • create a layout about your mom (or someone who's like a mom) and the things she says, the lessons she's taught you, how you're alike or how you're different;
  • create a layout about Mother’s Day;
  •  use the new PI llama card;
  • create a project about a stage show, your favorite TV drama, a musical, etc.
I created a layout featuring some pictures from the Musical at our High School this year, Bye Bye Birdie.  The kids did a fabulous job!  This was my daughter's first time doing the Musical and she had a blast!  On the day of the last show, the whole cast and crew took some time to pose for pictures.

I used Elle's Studio Little Moments collection, which is available in the Paper Issues Store.  The colors were perfect for my photos!!

Be sure to play along and add your project to the Current Issue Challenge album in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Group to be entered to win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues Store.  You have until June 6th to play along!

Lori Whitlock: Purse Shaped Box

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a cute little gift/gift card holder that I created for the Lori Whitlock Creative Team.  Take a peek:

I have so many birthdays, anniversaries, graduations over the next few weeks, I just might make a few of these! I used Lori's Purse Shaped Box (here in the Silhouette Store) and some fun papers from Elle's Studio Cienna Collection to put this together.  I added some stitching and a big flower embellishment to my project, but the purse is really cute on its own as well.  It's the perfect size for a small gift or gift card!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun post featuring the new flair from Toni From Designs!  I design with Toni over at Paper Issues and was THRILLED when she asked if I would showcase some of her new flair!  I chose the Back to School Set to use on my layout of my daughter's first day of Junior Year.  Take a peek:

In addition to Toni's Flair, I used Lawn Fawn's Sweater Weather, Lawn Fawn Dies & Stamps, and some tags from Elle's Studio & Chic Tags.  I also used some of Doodlebug's new mini paperclips and gold stars from Studio Calico.  I love how it all came together color-wise!  Here are some close-ups of the flair pieces...

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 263 Reveal

Hi Everyone... I have a reveal today for Creative Scrappers Sketch 263.  It was a fun sketch...take a peek:

And here's my take on the sketch.  I twisted the sketch to the right for my layout to accommodate my picture.  This is my daughter and her friends posing for Homecoming pictures last fall.  It's sad that they're shy....

The papers, tags and wood pieces are all from Elle's Studio's Love You More collection.
The LOVE THIS clips are from Freckled Fawn.

I added some Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Primrose to the wood hearts and ampersand to make them pop a bit more.

Check out all of the reveals for this sketch on the Creative Scrappers Blog.  Make sure to link up your take on this sketch to our linky party and you could a $30 prize pack from our fabby March sponsor Chic Tags!!!!!  You have until March 31st to link up!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 262 Reveal

Hi Everyone...it's time for the latest sketch over at Creative Scrappers! Today we're revealing Sketch 262...here's the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch.  I changed it up a little bit, using one picture instead of three and added some embellishments.  Love this picture of my daughter and her gymnastics team.  Such a fun group of girls!

I used Elle's Studio new Everyday Moments...such a great collection for everyday scrapping!  The papers are so versatile and I LOVE those wood veneers!

I also mixed it some tidbits from the You and Me collection.  They coordinated perfectly!

The sweet love flair is from Panda Eight.

I created a hidden journaling card using a card from Everyday Moments Bits and Pieces collection.  We'd love for you to play along with us at Creative Scrappers!  Link up your take on sketch 262 and you could win a prize from our February Sponsor Paper Camellia.

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today featuring the February Swag Bag from Paper Issues and some Elle's Studio Love You More.  Take a peek...

February's Swag Bag was full of fun goodies including all the sequins and enamel hearts and arrows.  The vellum I cut the hearts from was also a part of the bag!

My favorite part of the bag was the LOVE clip.  I attached it to may layout with a couple of cross stitches using some Caribbean Twine from The Twinery.  That's it for today...I'll be back tomorrow with the reveal of Sketch 262 for Creative Scrappers.  Thanks for stopping by!

And here's my take on the sketch...it was a fun one to work with.  I turned it upside-down for my layout.

I love this picture...it's my daughter and friends at our neighborhood's annual New Year's Eve party.  They were having a fun time with the glasses I made for them.  I used Elle's Studio Penelope collection...the colors are so fun and cheery.  I also thought the tags were perfect for this silly-girl picture!
