Paper Issues: Food for Thought

Hi Everyone...I'm up over at Paper Issues today with a layout for our latest Issue, Food for Thought.  I had a fun time playing with the new Teresa Collins Something Wonderful and the June Swag Bag from PI.  Here's what I came up with, a tribute to my favorite "food":

There were some fun gold goodies in the Swag bag this month ( the gold triangle vellum banner, the gold hearts & the triangle sequins ) which inspired me to add some shiny & gold to my layout.  I painted the rings from the placemat, and the wood sequins (also in the Swag Bag) with some gold paint and added some gold paper from Stampin' Up from my stash.  I topped it off with some gold stitching.

I love the Something Wonderful Ephemera and stickers...they were perfect for my "Ode to Coffee".  To complete the layout, I printed a fun coffee quote on one of the "paint chips" from the Cards Paper.

Link up your projects to our Food for Thought Issue and you could win a super-cute stamp set from our sponsor, Some Odd Girl Stamps

That's it for me today, I'll be back next week with some Doodlebug projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Issues: Count Your Lucky Stars Issue

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today for the Count Your Lucky Stars Issue at Paper Issues.  This issue is being sponsored by Lori Whitlock.  What are we looking for?  Well some ideas would be St. Patrick's Day, someone you're star struck over, movie stars, astrology, astronomy, use stars on your page, counting on someone or something, chance encounter, fortune cookies, or projects using items from the PI March Swag Bag or cut files by Lori Whitlock.   My layout includes a number of these items...take a peek...

First I started with some fun Bella Blvd. Lucky Starz papers....this is a great collection for everyday scrapping!  Next I added a fun title created by Lori Whitlock.  I cut it from the background paper first, then cut some of the words from coordinating papers to add some color and dimension.  It is the perfect sentiment for this group of ladies...my neighborhood "Bunco" group.  (Bunco in quotes due to the fact that we don't play anymore, and it's just an excuse to have a girls night every month for the last 10 years!)

I also used quite a number of goodies from the Paper Issues March Swag Bag...including this adorable custom flair from PandaEight .

Many of the word stickers are also from the March Swag Bag along with the sequins, chipboard star and pin.

We'd love for you to link up your projects to this issue!  You could win a $25 gift card to Lori Whitlock's store!!  She has TONS of fabulous cutting files!!  You have until March 30th to add your project here to be eligible!!!  Can't wait to see your projects!  That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!

Paper Issues: February Swag Bag

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today featuring the February Swag Bag from Paper Issues and some Elle's Studio Love You More.  Take a peek...

February's Swag Bag was full of fun goodies including all the sequins and enamel hearts and arrows.  The vellum I cut the hearts from was also a part of the bag!

My favorite part of the bag was the LOVE clip.  I attached it to may layout with a couple of cross stitches using some Caribbean Twine from The Twinery.  That's it for today...I'll be back tomorrow with the reveal of Sketch 262 for Creative Scrappers.  Thanks for stopping by!
