Doodlebug Design: Swiss Dots Petite Prints

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some fun Photo props I made using the new Swiss Dot Petite Prints from Doodlebug Design!   Every year I attend a the Crop on the Cape with a bunch of friends.  I thought it would be fun to bring along these props... let the photo taking begin!  The Swiss Dot Petite Prints were PERFECT for these... the colors are bright, fun & fabulous, and the dots add a little bit of whimsy! Take a peek...

Of course I needed mustaches and lips... I thought the frames would be fun too!  I backed the Swiss Dot Petite prints with some chipboard for a little more stability and added some wood dowels.  I had to add a Heart Sprinkles Shape to the lips!

I was able to talk my partner in crime (a.k.a. my daughter) into helping me showcase the props, because it wouldn't be quite as fun without a model!  Take a look at some more...

Lips and glasses, what is more fun??

I loved the camera shapes & speech bubbles I found, and thought they'd make some fun props as well...

I'm not sure I'm an angel, but the horns and halo will be popular, I'm sure!

And of course, crowns... because we like to think we are princesses...
Make sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog all next week for more Swiss Dot Petite Prints inspiration, you'll be glad you did!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Pot O'Gold

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fun layout featuring the  Pot O' Gold  collection from Doodlebug Design!  You wouldn't know it from my married name, but I'm almost all Irish, so I love a good St. Patrick's Day themed collection.  Take a peek at my layout...

Perhaps someday my daughter will forgive me for dressing her for every holiday, but I always got great pictures!  For my background, I used the Shamrock Gingham paper along with the Citrus Swiss Dot Petite Print papers.

My banner is made up of a few different papers from the Pot O' Gold collection, the Good Luck Doodle-Pop, some stickers from the Icons Sticker Sheet and some Shamrock Shape Sprinkles.  I finished it up with some Limeade Chunky Twine.

My title was made by combining some Limeade Chippers and some Limeade Teensy Type letters.

That's it for me today, be sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog more Pot O'Gold inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

Valentine's Day Card

Hi Everyone!  On Sunday, the ladies over at Paper Issues had an on-line Superbowl Scrap and Chat, for those of us who were a little less interested in the game itself! (The Patriots weren't playing, so it was just the commercials for me...)  One of the fun challenges was to create any project with a heart.  I put together this cute little card ...

I used some Doodlebug Designs Sweet Things papers and stickers for this card.  I love the adorable little bees!!  I cut the heart swirls from a border file using my Silhouette.  I think it will be perfect for someone special here!
Paper Issues has another weekend-long crop coming up March 18-20.

There will be lots of challenges and prizes!  Make sure that you're a part of the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Group to get all the details and updates!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Paper Issues: February Off the Page Challenge

Hi Everyone! Today I have the  February Off the Page Challenge for Paper Issues!  Of course, the themes this month are Love & Valentines!!  I would love to see all of your paper projects that are all about love, Valentines Day and the like!  They can be any type of project other than a traditional scrapbook page.  Here's what I created as inspiration for the challenge...

Growing up, I used to love giving Valentine's goodies to my friends. I continued this tradition when my daughter was little!   I put together this adorable little Valentine Mailbox from Lori Whitlock (available here in the Silhouette Store) as well as these cute little 3x3 Valentine Pop-Up Cards,  which are also from Lori Whitlock. (available here in the Silhouette Shop:  Dinosaur, Butterfly). I used Bella Blvd's Valentina Collection available here in the Paper Issues Store.  Here are some close-ups...

The Valentine's Mailbox is really a box with a lid.

The Pop-up Valentines are adorable.  I added some punny little sentiments using my Silhouette Sketch Pens.

And they fold over and hold together similar to a matchbook.  This makes them the perfect size to fit through the mailbox slot!
Playing along with the challenge is easy!  Post a picture of your project in the February Challenges Album under this picture in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Group by March 6th.  You could win one of two gift certificates to the Paper Issues Store for playing along!  I can't wait to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
