Doodlebug Design | Land That I Love Layout

Last summer my daughter had an internship in NYC.  For the 4th of July she was invited to a friend's house all the way out on the north fork of Long Island, a town called Mattituck.  The girls had a blast!  Part of their celebration was at the Mattituck Old Fashioned Street Fair... lots of good food, music and crafts!  Lucky for me they also took lots of pictures!  It's so hard to get pictures of them out with friends once they reach a certain age!  I used the Land That I Love Collection to scrap one of my favorites.

I love the graph side of the America the Beautiful paper.  I used it as my background, then cut 3x4 pieces of some of the other patterned papers and lined them up to be the background for my photo.

I used a lot of the Odds & Ends to embellish.  I love that banner!

I also used some of the stickers from the This and That sheet as well as the icons sticker sheet.  And of course... I had to use some of the Stars and Stripes Shapes Sprinkles!

For my title, in addition to the Odds and Ends pieces, I used some of the new Sunshine alpha stickers... they are the perfect "in between" size!

Doodlebug Design | Land That I Love Shadow Box Card

The Fourth of July will be here before we know it!   Most of the fireworks around where I live have been cancelled, but I was able to make may own using the Land that I Love Collection.  Take a peek...

I altered the base of this shadow box card from Lori Whitlock to make the base of the card.  I covered the outside of the card with the fireworks side of the Summer Celebration paper.  For the night sky inside, I used the Hip Hip Hooray paper.

Inside the card, I added some of the fireworks Odds & Ends pieces along with stickers from the Icons sheet in the shadow box.  I love the dimension of a shadow box card, it looks like a night sky full of lights!

To finish  I popped out the cute little eagle on the front and added a firework sticker from the Icons sheet to his "wing" so it looks like he's setting off more fireworks.  I also added the sentiment banner from the set.  The best part of this card is it folds flat for mailing.  Have you made any projects using the new Land That I Love Collection?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Cape Cod Resilience Fund Fundraiser with Jenn Shurkus

Hi Everyone, Today I'm showcasing a couple of projects using some fun stamps from my friend Jenn Shurkus!   Jenn  lives on Cape Cod and is raising money for the Cape Cod Resilience Fund. This fund will help small businesses on Cape Cod who are experiencing financial difficulties due to Covid-19. This fund will be around for the long run, and continue to help small businesses out in the future.

YOU can help by purchasing one of Jenn's exclusive Cape Cod Stamp Set. For each set sold between June 15th- July 1st, $10 will be donated to the CCRF. Another way you can help? Share this with your creative friends and help spread the word! More details can be found on Jenn's Site .

Jenn's stamps are so cute, and are perfect for summer cards and projects!  I decided to make a couple of 3D projects with them... take a peek....

My first project is this cute little Cape Cod Cottage Treat Box.  I used Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Treat Box Die as the base.  I added some "weathered wood" siding using the Scalloped Treat Box Dog House Add-on and the windows and doors are from the Winter house add-on.  To complete my Cape Cottage look, I added the lobster trap and Adirondack Chair from Jenn's Stamp set.  This cute little box is the prefect size for some salt-water taffy or a couple of truffles from the Chatham Candy Manor! (my FAVORITE Candy shop on the Cape! )

We do a lot of boating around the Cape.  Last year we were lucky to get a boat slip in Provincetown for Carnival.  It's a WILD time!  We took this picture with friends on MacMillan Wharf..  It's one of my all time favorite pictures!  Jenn's stamps were the perfect addition to my shadowbox frame!

The Cape is near and dear to me.  Not only do we spend a lot of time there now, but I've been going every summer since I was a child, and worked summers there in high school (hello to the Breakfast Room!).  I even met my husband there way back in 1982!  It's a very seasonal area that relies on tourism for a huge part of their revenue, and with the pandemic, a lot of businesses will suffer.  If you love stamping, and the beach, please consider purchasing one of Jenn's Stamp sets, every little bit helps!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Land That I Love Box Card

Doodlebug's 4th of July Collections are always among my favorites and Land that I Love does not disappoint! I especially love the little icons in the collection.  When I saw the cute little Geranium with the flag, I immediately thought it would make a really fun box card, so that's what I made!

How sweet is that little smiley face on the plant pot??  I love the patterns in this collection.  They are of course perfect for patriotic projects, but they can also be used for other projects as well!  I combined them with some petite prints to complete the look.  And I just had to add some sprinkles!  The little star sprinkles are perfect.

I finished the card with the Hooray for the Red, White & Blue sentiment from the Chit Chat Pieces.

Doodlebug Design | Hey Cupcake Tag Mini Album

Have you seen all of the fun new Doodle Cuts from Doodlebug Design?  They come in some fun shapes and are perfect for cardmaking and scrapbooking!  I used a bunch of the new dies to create this tag mini album.  My daughter spent last summer working and living in NYC.  She celebrated her 21st Birthday there... which actually turned into a month of celebrations.  Lucky for me she shared lots of pictures, (and honestly I stole some from Instagram, lol) which I printed up for this fun mini.  Take a peek...

I used the big tag from the Large Tags Doodle Cuts as the base of my album.  I printed my photos about 1.75" square, which was the perfect size to fit the tags and leave room for some embellishments.  The papers and embellishments are from the adorable Hey Cupcake Collection.

For my cover, I added one of the Nesting Scallops Doodle Cuts to frame my title.  The Happy stamp is from the Happy Birthday Doodle Stamps, and the cute little champagne bottle is from the Occasions Holidays Doodle Stamp set.  Here are some close-ups of the inside pages...

The stickers from the mini icons sheet were the perfect size to decorate my tags.  I also added stickers from the This and That sheet and some Chit Chat pieces.  The wine glasses stamp is from the Occasions Everyday Doodle Stamps set.

The Borders and Edges Doodle Cut dies were an easy way to embellish my tags.  I also added a few of the smaller tags from the Mini Tags Doodle Cuts in between my larger tags for embellishment.  My favorite is the clear shaker tag I made by cutting 2 of the larger tags from a sheet protector, stitching and filling with some Doodlebug Sequins.

To complete the album, I created a little tassel using some Doodlebug Chunky Twine.  My daughter loved this little collection of pictures.  Tag minis are really a great way to scrap a small number of photos.  They make great gifts too!

You can really make so many different types of projects with the new  Doodle Cuts and Doodle Stamps.  They are good for planners, cards, scrapbook pages.... just about anything you can think of!  If you've used them in your projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
