A little bit late with this, but it's been a busy weekend! Sketch 130 at Let's Capture These Sketches was a real beauty, created by Natalie Roy. Here's my take on her fun sketch!
I used Echo Park's Times and Seasons collection which was PERFECT for this photo of my friend Stephanie and I at a crop last fall. Of course we were the first in line for the mini photo booth that had been set up. The little mustache stickers were just the thing, and of course, my Whimsy Mustache pin just topped it all off!
The flower was created using some Maya Road Zipper trim, and I created a little pocket with a pull out journaling card that was cut from the journaling cards sheet that comes with the collection.
That's all for today. There are about 10 projects sitting on my to-do table, so I should be back soon with more projects, including a blog hop with The Twinery and Bella Blvd! Make sure to stop by the Let's Capture These Sketches Blog to see all of the gorgeous layouts the team created!

The Twinery and SRM!
I'm very excited to be part of day two of The Twinery and SRM Stickers Product Showcase.
Yesterday, the first group of designers from both companies showcased their projects. You can see their fabulous creations here), and today the fun continues! The complete lists of participants can be found on both the Twinery Blog and SRM's Blog. Be sure to stop by each of the designer's blogs and leave some love!
OK, here's what I came up with! My first project uses one of the fun tubes from SRM (these are great for holding treats and make fun gifts and favors!). I created a butterfly using the tube (wrapped in Honeydew twine) as the body. The wings and head were cut using an SVG file and some springy papers from Bella Blvd.
I added some Blossom, Caribbean and Lilac Twine for a bow and also outlined the wing sections with those colors.
My next project uses another SRM tube along with some of their wonderful 4th of July and We've got Your Border Birthday stickers.
To complete the project, I attached the flag sticker to some punched card stock.
Now comes the fun part! How would you like to 3 full spools of Bakers Twine from the Twinery? (colors will be winner's choice, a $42 value!)
To be eligible to win, you MUST leave a comment on each participating designer from The Twinery (16 total). A complete list of designers is on the Twinery Blog. Deadline to leave comments is 11:59pm Sunday, April 29th.
Thanks for looking, and please leave comments! (I LOVE getting them!) Also, if you're not already, I'd love for you to follow my blog!

To create my firecracker goody tube, I first wrapped the tube in Maraschino, Denim and Shore Twine.
For the "sparkler" part, I used my Hana Ami Flower Loom and created a small flower from Buttercream twine. I cut the end loops to make it seem more like a flame. The wick is a piece of toothpick, wrapped in Stone Twine and stuck into the top of the SRM tube. I used the border star stickers to decorate the top of the tube.
I cut more of the star stickers from the SRM Border sheet and attached them to the end of my bow strings
To complete the project, I attached the flag sticker to some punched card stock.

MFT Fan Club Peek
April's MFT Fan Club meeting at Right at Home Scrapbooking is this Saturday, April 28th at 10:00. We have a fun "retro" layout we'll be creating. Here's the peek:
The flowers are the MFT Botanical Beauty Die namic and the flag is created using the Banner Day MFT.
If you're interested in joining the MFT Fan Club, pleas call Right at Home Scrapbooking to reserve your spot. See you Saturday!
We'll be playing with some Lily Bee Harvest Market Papers and the AWESOME new Chevron MFT Die namic! I thought they coordinated perfectly with this VERY old picture of me and my mother in our matching hand-made outfits!

Some Miss Caroline
I feel like I've been very neglectful of my blog...but I have an excuse. We just returned from a week of warmer climates! We started out in Ormond Beach, FL visiting my in-laws, then we all got on a ship for a quick cruise to the Bahamas...it was just so nice to be warm! We spent one day at Atlantis...love that place! We ended with a day at Disney Hollywood Studios... and about 5 rides on the Rock and Roll Roller Coaster! Now, back to reality and laundry...lots and lots of laundry...
I also need to get my mind back to scrappy things...some blog hops coming up and I'm teaching a class tomorrow at Right at Home Scrapbooking. These are the two layouts we'll be creating using My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection.
We'll be using tons of MFT Die namics including the Botanical Beauties.
The second layout shows how versatile this line really is... instead of distressed and inked you can also go playful. It also makes me feel a bit old, since this too is Caroline, many, many years ago!
If you're interested in the class, it's tomorrow (Saturday) at Right at Home Scrapbooking. If you can't make the class, you can also ask for the kits while they last.

Let's Capture These Sketches Reveal
It's reveal time over at Let's Capture These Sketches! Sketch #128 was created by Darlene. Here's my take on it:
These are a couple of my all-time favorite pictures! My daughter LOVED her Cozy Coupe! Every time she got in, we had instant smiles! I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Sweet Summertime papers and embellies. The colors are so bright and cheery, they matched the pictures perfectly.
I fell in love with the Whimsy car pin as soon as I saw it and knew I'd use it to scrap these pics!
That's all for today! I'll be back soon with some layouts I created for a class over at Right at Home.

April Layout Workshop Peek
I can't believe it's April already...this year is flying by. I just completed the layout for the April Layout Workshop at Right at Home Scrapbooking...take a peek:
I used BasicGrey's Out of print papers... they're so springy! I also had a bit of fun with my new Sizzix Hexagon die.
I love the new Botanical Beauty MFT Dienamic, it's great for creating layered flowers .
It was fun looking back at these pictures of my daughter enjoying her new swing set! Talk about time flying... she'll be in high school next fall! The Layout Workshop will be held Friday, April 27th at 7:00pm at Right at Home Scrapbooking.
