Lori Whitlock: August Creative Team Blog Hop

Hi Everyone!  It's time for the August Creative Team Blog Hop at Lori Whitlock today!  Here's the order for today's hop...

For my project this month I created a wedding card for a sweet friend who is getting married this month!  I'm so excited for her and her fiancĂ©... they're just so cute together!

I used Lori's Wedding Cake Card (here in the Silhouette Store) as my base.   I used some fun papers from Doodlebug Design's LoveBugs Collection along with some Doodlebug Pearls, Sequins and Chunky Glitter to embellish my card a bit more!  I can't wait to send it along!

And now, some goodies for you!  First use Code AUGUST in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and get 30% off your order this week!!

Looking for some of Lori's Digital Collections?  Head over to Snap, Click Supply and use code AUGUST to get 30% off there too!

and there is also a free file available in the Lori Whitlock store...

Finally you can enter to win a $20 Gift Card to Lori's SVG shop...

Head over to Lori's Blog to enter to win!   That's it for me today, the next stop on the hop is Tya Smith.  Thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Designs: Chevron Sugar Coated Cardstock

Hi Everyone, I'm up on the Doodlebug Design blog today with a fun layout featuring Chevron Sugar Coated Cardstock.  I love the glittery effect it adds to a project!  Here's what I came up with:

This quote has always been a favorite, and worked perfectly with the sparkle factor in the Chevron Sugar Coated Cardstock ... and this silly selfie of my daughter.  I used a number of thin dies from Sizzix and MFT and my Big Shot to cut hearts from the cardstock.  I love how the colors coordinate perfectly with the Sugar Shoppe papers!

For my title, I couldn't resist mixing and matching Doodlebug Alphas and I HAD to use the Bubblegum Shin-Dig Sugar Coated Alphas!

To complete my layout, I added some Doodlebug Sequins and stitched with some silver thread for a little more bling!  That's it for me today.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday!!

I would like to wish my hubby Ed a very Happy Birthday today!!!!  I decided to make him a cute little box card using some Doodlebug Kraft in Color goodies and a fun cut file from Lori Whitlock...here's what I came up with:

This is a very masculine color scheme for me!!  I'm used to pinks!!  The Doodlebug papers make it easy though!  The cut file comes with all sorts of cute goodies! I added a few extra details...first, the #happybirthday stamp and the label die are from MFT...

I also decided to add some sparkle using the new Doodlebug sequins.  The jars of sequins are awesome...they have variety of hues for each color!  I also used some of the chunky Doodlebug Sugar Coated glitter to frost my cake and for the candle flame.

I hope he likes it!!  (he's at work, and won't see this post....) And now he's officially older than I am for a whole 3 months!!!
