Family Layout

Just a quick post today to showcase another one of the layouts I created for the It's a Plan Class at Right at Home Scrapbooking.   It's a fun layout featuring my daughter with my niece and nephews at Christmas.  The papers are from Lily Bee's We Are Family Collection.

Using my Silhouette, I created stitch holes for the hearts on the background paper.  I stitched them with some Honeydew Solid Twine from The Twinery.  The Say Cheese stamp and speech bubble die are from MFT.

That's it for today...busy working on LOTs of projects!  I'll have some new Doodlebug goodies soon featuring their new collections from CHA!!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 262 Reveal

Hi Everyone...it's time for the latest sketch over at Creative Scrappers! Today we're revealing Sketch 262...here's the sketch:

And here's my take on the sketch.  I changed it up a little bit, using one picture instead of three and added some embellishments.  Love this picture of my daughter and her gymnastics team.  Such a fun group of girls!

I used Elle's Studio new Everyday Moments...such a great collection for everyday scrapping!  The papers are so versatile and I LOVE those wood veneers!

I also mixed it some tidbits from the You and Me collection.  They coordinated perfectly!

The sweet love flair is from Panda Eight.

I created a hidden journaling card using a card from Everyday Moments Bits and Pieces collection.  We'd love for you to play along with us at Creative Scrappers!  Link up your take on sketch 262 and you could win a prize from our February Sponsor Paper Camellia.

You have until Midnight on February 28th to join in the fun!  I can't wait to see what you create.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Paper Issues: February Swag Bag

Hi Everyone...I have a fun layout today featuring the February Swag Bag from Paper Issues and some Elle's Studio Love You More.  Take a peek...

February's Swag Bag was full of fun goodies including all the sequins and enamel hearts and arrows.  The vellum I cut the hearts from was also a part of the bag!

My favorite part of the bag was the LOVE clip.  I attached it to may layout with a couple of cross stitches using some Caribbean Twine from The Twinery.  That's it for today...I'll be back tomorrow with the reveal of Sketch 262 for Creative Scrappers.  Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to be part of this fun Valentine Blog Hop over at shurkus.com!  The hop is running from February 1-14 and there will be inspiring projects from Jenn Shurkus and a variety of other crafters she's asked to play along! There are prizes to be won!! Just remember to comment on the featured blog for each day of the hop. The more LOVE you leave, the better chance you have to win!  Yesterday's hopper was Lizzy...be sure to check out her creations!  Today I'm here with a fun home décor piece I created using my Silhouette and some fun Doodlebug Designs goodies from their Sweetheart collection...take a peek:

This was a really easy project to put together and would make a nice gift for someone special!  I started with a regular 9x12 frame I bought at Michael's.  I cut the alphabet from my background paper and backed it (using some foam tape for dimension) with a coordinating paper.  Lastly I popped up the i, o and u with a third paper to make them stand out.

I wanted to dress up the frame a bit as well, so I ran a strand of coordinating baker's twine around one of the grooves of the frame and finished it off with this cute heart DoodlePop!

Now for the really fun part... I'm giving away the Silhouette Cut file I created for this project for free!  You can access the file here.  I hope you enjoy it!  That's it for today, make sure to comment to win!!  Also make sure to check out Christy's Blog tomorrow to she what fun project she's created.  If you'd like to start from the beginning, go to shurkus.com!  Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch 261 Reveal

Hi Everyone...I have a fun reveal today...Creative Scrappers Sketch 261.  Take a peek at the sketch:

I stayed pretty true to the sketch....here's my take...

I had fun with this one using Simple Stories Daily Grind collection...the colors are so bright and happy!  The pics are me and my kitty Daisy...she insists on lap cuddles often, and sometimes humors me and lets me take selfies. (yes, I'm a crazy cat lady....)

This flair button is from PandaEightDesigns...and the cute heart speech bubble is from Maya Road.

In place of the strips in the sketch, I used one of Amy Tangerine's stitching templates to stitch a row of arrows with some Stone Solid Twine from The Twinery.

That's all for today...make sure to stop by the Creative Scrappers Blog to check out all of the projects from the Design Team!  Also, make sure to link up your take on the sketch and you could win this month's fab prize from our February Sponsor Paper Camellia...
