Doodlebug Design: Dragon Tails Cut files Shaped Cards

Hi Everyone! Today I have a couple of cards I created using the new Dragon Tails Cut Files available in the Silhouette Design Store and the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop!  I love shaped cards, add in some adorable Dragons and Vikings and you get total cuteness!  Take a peek...

I just love the Viking with Horn and Notes.  He just said "party" to me, so I added the Party Title to complete the look!

The dragons in this cut file collection are too cute!  I fell in love with this Medium Blue Dragon, his teeth are just too funny!  I added in the Birthday Cake, you could also customize this with some Skinny Alphas and put a number on the cake!

Both cards were made using Doodlebug Textured Cardstock and Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  Be sure to check out all of the new Dragon Tails cut files in the Silhouette Design Store and the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, they are absolutely adorable and would make great party decorations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Dragon Tails Party Set

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun party set featuring the oh so adorable Dragon Tails Collection from Doodlebug Design.   I'm part Swedish, so the little vikings in this collection are right up my alley, and don't get me started on the adorable dragons.  I put together a cute little party set, take a peek..

I really had a fun time with this collection! I started with the banner featuring lots of pieces from the Odds & Ends and tied together with some Blue Jean Chunky Twine.   I love how many pieces you get in the Odds & Ends package, I used so many and still have most of them left!

Next up is this cute little castle I made as a centerpiece.  I started with this cut file from Lori Whitlock, which was actually meant to be a sand castle.  All it took to make it look like a stone castle was some of the Cobblestones Double Sided Cardstock!  I added some vikings from the Mini Icon Stickers, the Hip Hip Hooray Mini Garland, and a cute dragon & present sticker from the Icons Sticker Sheet.  To finish it off, I gave the dragon a balloon from the Balloon Shaped Sprinkles!

Here is the back of the castle, I couldn't resist adding one more little dragon with a balloon!

I made the little party favors to look like the broken dragon eggs.  I added a little Dragon from the Odds & Ends to each "egg" and filled them with some treats!

I created the Broken Egg Half  Silhouette file along with a little piece to help the Dragons stand up, and would love to share it with you!  You can download it  here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Another Fairy Tales Layout

Hi Everyone!  Happy Easter!  Today I have another layout using the adorable Fairy Tales Collection from Doodlebug Design.  This one features my friends and I at the annual Crop on the Cape Scrap weekend!  We always bring photo props and this year it was Unicorn horns,  magic wands, and a big blow up frame!

I had some more fun with the Odds & Ends Pieces and the  Rainbow Heart Shaped Sprinkles!

For my title, I mixed fonts using a few different Teensy Type Alphas as well as some Skinny alphas!  And I had to use the Unicorn Doodle Pop too!  He's so sparkly!

The Happy Skies Shaped Sprinkles were a must here.. I love the faces in the clouds!

This collection simply makes me happy!  Be sure to stop by the Doodlebug Design Blog for more Fairy Tales inspiration!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Fairy Tales Layout

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun layout I created using the ADORABLE Fairy Tales Collection from Doodlebug Design!  I just love unicorns, and this collection is chock full of them!  I actually have a board on Pinterest with a lot of unicorn quotes so I decided to use a couple of them for inspiration for these layouts!  Here is a look at my first one:

I love this picture of my daughter on the steps of MoMA in NYC.  It's actually a still from a video, but it is her personality exactly!   I thought it was a perfect fit for my title quote.

The Unicorn Clip from the Fairy Tales Cute Clips is too cute!   And the word stickers from the This & That Sheet are always fun to sprinkle around!

The Odds & Ends package is FULL of fun pieces such as this cute unicorn.  I love creating little scenes using all the pieces!  The Flower Friends Mini Doodle Pops were a fun addition as well!  I just love their little faces!  The best is the new Rainbow Hearts Shaped Sprinkles.... I need at least 10 packages of these!!!

For my title I used a combination of Teensy Type Stickers.  I love mixing and matching fonts!  That's it for me today, I'll be back tomorrow with another layout featuring Fairy Tales!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock: Easter Bunny Buckets

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a  tutorial showing how to create these adorable Easter Bunny Buckets.  I made these for my daughter and her college roommate because even the big kids like an Easter Basket!  I purchased the buckets at Michaels, and used some vinyl from both Silhouette and Expressions.com.

I started with one of the bunny faces from the Easter Bunny Face Bundle   (here in the Silhouette Store).   I resized it to fit the bucket size.  To do this, I first measured the area of the bucket where the face would be placed.  I drew a square, using those measurements,  on my Silhouette mat, then layered the bunny face part over the square and dragged the corner down until the sizing was correct.  I then deleted the square.

Next, I un-grouped the pieces, and placed the face and whiskers pieces on my mat.  (I have them here twice because I made 2 buckets. )  I added strips of the vinyl to my mat, adjusted my cut settings and blade for vinyl cutting and cut these pieces.

Once I cut the face pieces, I started the process of adding them to my bucket.  First, I weeded out all of the "extra" pieces from my mat so that only my design remained.

Starting with one of the faces, I covered the design with a piece of transfer tape.  I ran my scraper tool over the design a few times to make sure the tape would stick to the vinyl.  I then peeled the tape off of the vinyl backing.  The face design stays with the tape.

Next, I centered the tape over the bucket where I wanted the face design.  I ran my scraper over the design a few times to help the vinyl attach to the bucket, then pulled the transfer tape off of the bucket.

I repeated these steps with the whiskers.  Once they were on the tape, I aligned them on the bucket to match up with the bunny's "cheeks" and used my scraper tool to help adhere them to the bucket.

To finish the buckets, I cut the ears from some Doodlebug Textured Cardstock and Doodlebug Petite Prints  and glued them to the inside rim of the basket.  I also added a 3D Bow (here in the Silhouette Store) cut from some plaid paper from Doodlebug's Easter Express Collection.  All that was left was to fill it with some treats!

The girls were very happy to get the treats!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Beautiful

Today I have another layout I created for the Paper Issues Spring Crop that was held a couple of weeks ago.  It really was full of fun challenges, I got a lot done!  I love the pictures on this layout, it's my friend Mary-Ann and I, along with my daughter on a lunch date.  Take a peek...

I used Cocoa Vanilla's Wild at Heart Collection, I absolutely LOVE this collection... the colors, the embellishments, everything!  Here are some close-ups...

Such a fun day, it seems that every time we get together, we are taking selfies in the parking lot, lol.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
