Doodlebug Design | Special Delivery Baby Stats Frame

One of my favorite gifts I received when my daughter was born was a sweet frame with all of her birth stats.  It made such a cute decoration in her room.  Now when there's a special new little in our life, I love to make a baby stats frame for the new parents.  As soon as I saw the Special Delivery Collection, I knew I was going to use it to make one for a new little guy!  Check it out...

I started with the gray & white checked side of the Choo-Choo paper for my background. I printed the baby's name & stats along the bottom of the paper.  I then cut some train cars that I designed to look like the choo-choo train odds & ends from some of the other papers in the collection.  The cut files for these weren't available when I created this, but they are now in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop here.  I filled the cars with some of the adorable little critters from the Odds & Ends.  Here are some close ups.

I added some sprinkles to the wheels for a little dimension.  And of course I can't give a gift without a cute little card!  I used the new Toy Box Stamps and dies to make this card.  The sentiment was stamped on a piece I cut using the Doodle Cuts Mini Tags and attached with a couple of mini brads.

Now all I need to do is get this all in the mail to the new parents!  Have you made any projects using Special Delivery?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Cut Files: Baby Frame

Hi Everyone!  Lucky us, we have a new grand-niece in the family  (I always knew I was a great aunt, now it's just official, lol !)  I just LOVE babies and couldn't resist making her a little something... take a peek...

I started out with some Sugar and Spice Collection from Doodlebug Design.  It's one of my favorites, and I've been hoarding it for a while now!   I also added in some papers from Doodlebug's Snips & Snails and  Gingham Linen Petite Prints collections.  The bear cut file is the Teddy Bear from the Doodlebug Sugar and Spice Cut files available here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and here in Silhouette.  The balloon is from the Doodlebug Dragon Tails Cut files here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and here in Silhouette.  I used Lori Whitlock's Bubble Letter Font for the lettering.  My niece loved it!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design Cut Files: Baby Name Frames

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fun project I made using Doodlebug Design Cut files!  We've had a bit of a baby boom in our family recently... 3 new babies since May!  I wanted to send something special along to my new little cousins, and I put together a name frame for each of them.

For the girls frames, I used papers from the Sugar and Spice Collection and some Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  The cut files are from the Spring Things Cut file collection.  The files I used are the Ladybug SVG (here in the Silhouette Store), the Flower Cluster SVG (here in the Silhouette Store) and the Butterfly SVG (here in the Silhouette Store).  The font I used for all of the names is Lori Whitlock's Bubble Letter Font.

Here are some close-ups of the Spring Things Cut files.

For the little boy's frame, I used papers from the At the Zoo Collection and some Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  The cut files are also from the At the Zoo Collection.  I used the Koala Bear SVG (here in the Silhouette Store), the Penguin SVG (here in the Silhouette Store and the Lion SVG (here in the Silhouette Store.

Here are some close-ups of these cut files...

I'm excited to send these along to my new little cousins!!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: At The Zoo Nursery Frames

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some fun shadowbox frames I made to give to a friend who is having a little boy this summer using some Doodlebug Design's At the Zoo collection!  As soon as I saw the adorable Odds & Ends critters from this collection, I knew they'd be perfect for decorating a nursery!  Take a peek...

I started with this 6x6 Shadowbox Frame cut file, and some Doodlebug Lily White Textured Cardstock to make the frames.  I then added paper from the At the Zoo 6 x 6 Paper Pad for the backgrounds.  They fit perfectly into the frame opening!  Now for the fun part, I chose a few of the critters and other shapes from the At the Zoo Odds & Ends pack to add to the frames!  I popped the pieces up with some foam tape to give them a little more dimension, and added some Zoo Assortment Matte Sprinkles to complete the look.  Here are some close-ups...

The frames have string on their tops to hang them, or since they are made completely from paper, they're light enough to be hung with museum putty.  I couldn't just give her the frames without a card, so I made a step card to add to the gift.  The sun is from the Fun in the Sun cut files available in the Silhouette store here and in the Lori Whitlock SVG shop here.  The stickers are from the At the Zoo Icon Sticker Sheet and some Bumble Bee Teensy Type Stickers.

I can't wait to give these to my friend!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Baby Gift

Hi Everyone!  I'm finally sharing this fun little baby gift I made... back in December???  It took me forever to get it to the new parents, but I finally did and they loved it!  Take a peek...

I love this little Teddy Bear!  The dies to make him are from the Design a Softie Quick Stitch Kit from Papertrey Ink.  These dies are so stinkin' cute!  The papers and twine are from Doodlebug Design's Sugar and Spice collection.  This collection is from a few years ago, but I've been hording the papers, they are so cute!!  They were so happy to have this, and I'm just glad I got it to them before Fiona's first birthday!!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Tiny Tots Mini Album

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun mini album that I created for a coworker of my husband.  She and her husband just had their first baby (a boy!!) , so I made them a little mini album to celebrate his first year!  Here's the cover, I used Bella Blvd.'s Tiny Tots for the entire album...it was the perfect collection for this type of project!  The patterns, the stickers and the die cuts are all so cute!

I created a Silhouette Cut file to make Polaroid pockets.  I stitched the sides and the bottom, leaving the top open, so that they can just slide a 4"x 5" photo from the top.  I made a sleeve for each month and added a tag to journal the special moments and milestones!  I tried to keep it simple, knowing how hectic it can be with a new baby in the house!

Take a peek at the remaining pages...

I can't wait to give it to the new parents!  And I also would like to share the Polaroid Album cut files I created.  The green file below is perfect if you're using plain cardstock for your album.  You only need to fold along the score line and stitch or glue up the sides.  The blue file on the right is made for patterned papers, so that you can create the sleeve with the pattern going the proper way on both the front and back.  Just stitch or glue the sides and bottom edge.  I then punched a hole in the top left corner to allow for a binding ring.

You can access the file here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Lori Whitlock: Camera Mini Album

Hi everyone!  I have my first official project up on the Lori Whitlock blog today... a tutorial showing how to create an adorable mini album using Lori's Shaker Camera Embellishment cut files.  I created this album for my sweet cousin who just had her first baby.  She hasn't seen it yet, but it's on the way to her... so this may be a spoiler!

I used Lori's Perfect Type Font to add the baby's name to the cover of the album and also to print out the label on the inside cover.  Finally I used the 7 Shapes Labels to add the date and a place for her to journal on each picture.  Take a peek at the inside pages....

I included some extra pages and labels for the happy couple to keep adding to their album!

For the full tutorial, make sure to stop by the Lori Whitlock Blog!!!! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Doodlebug Designs: Baby Shower Gift

Hi Everyone, I wanted to share a cute baby gift I made recently for my cousin who is having a little boy in October!

I started with a cut file by Echo Park that I found in the Silhouette Store (here).  Next, I chose some papers from my Doodlebug stash to coordinate with their nursery colors (mostly grays).  The grid background is from the Kraft in Color collection, and the Gray Dot paper is from the Patriotic Parade collection.  All other papers are from Doodlebug's Snips & Snails collection.

I first cut the file from the background paper.  Using strips of the different papers, I backed the cut-out letters.  To give it a bit more dimension, I then cut some of the words out again from the colored papers and popped the letters up over the background.

To complete the frame, I added some ribbon from my stash, and a Doodlebug Button tied with some twine.  I was so happy with how it all came out, and I can't wait to meet Baby G!!!!  That's it for me today...I'm off to visit the fun folks at Doodlebug Designs this weekend in Salt Lake City!!!  I CAN NOT WAIT!!!  I'll be sure to take lots of pictures!  Thanks for stopping by!
