Doodlebug Design | Day to Day Collection Monthly Scrapbooking

The new Day to Day calendar pages are not only a great way to organize and plan... they also are a fabulous way to document your month!  I opted to create  a scrapbook page layout featuring photos from last July using the Swimming Pool Calendar sheet and some Land that I Love Mini Icon Stickers.  Take a peek....

For my heading I used the new Day to Day Month stickers and numbers from the Sunshine Stickers.  The banners and balloons are from the Land that I Love Mini Icons.

We are big boaters and spend our summer weekends at our marina... so I had to add the cute boat stamped image from the Seaside Summer Doodle Stamps.  I picked some of my favorite photos from the month including this cutie... Parker is our neighbor at our marina.  He's such a good boy!   To create my little insta-photo pictures, I first cut my photos to be 1.5" square.  I then cut some petite prints 1.875" x 2.25" and added my photo leaving more room at the bottom to look like an instant photo.

In addition to the Land that I Love mini icons... I also used a few mini icons from the Bar B Cute Collection along with some grass washi.  The little picnic basket was perfect to document my daughter's birthday picnic in Central park!

I used some of the word stickers on the Land that I Love This and That Sticker sheet to label my photos... I love these words!!  Lastly I added one of my favorite characters... Steven Seagull from the Seaside Summer Stamp set. He just makes me smile!

This is such a fun way to keep up with your monthly scrapbooking!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Bar-B-Cute Picnic Basket Box Card

There's something special about a picnic... yummy food, outside in the fresh air, with friends!  That's what inspired this fun box card.  Even better, this picnic has no calories!  Take a peek...

I filled my basket with a bunch of the food icons from the Bar-B-Cute Odds & Ends pack, I just love the smiles, they really make me happy!    I used the red & white check paper from the 6x6 pad for my table cloth, and the sentiment is from the Chit Chat Pieces.  Here's a close-up...

And of course I had to complete the look with an ant from the Picnic Parade Sprinkles.  They are the only ants that don't require a call to the exterminator!

Doodlebug Design | Bar-B-Cute Clean & Simple Cards

Although most of my projects are 3D, or more involved, I do have a love for clean and simple cards.  Clean and Simple cards are uncluttered, lots of white space with one main focal point.  Doodlebug's Odds & Ends along with the Chit Chat Pieces are the perfect combination to make this type of card.  I used the new Bar-B-Cute Collection to make a few...take a peek...

These cards really went together in a flash.  I die-cut some rectangles from white cardstock and a slightly larger rectangle from the Bar-B-Cute 6x6 Pad and layered onto a card base for each card.  All that was left was to add the Odds & Ends and a coordinating Chit Chat Sentiment.  I popped them up with some foam tape because.. well I needed some dimension lol.  Here are some close ups...

There are so many great combinations of Odds & Ends and Chit Chat pieces .  You could make dozens of cards with them along with some patterned paper.  It would make such a fun gift to package them all together with some envelopes!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Bar-B-Cute Floating Easel Cards

Sunshine, lemonade, and picnics are staples of summertime, and the Doodlebug Bar-B-Cute Collection has them all!   It's full of bright fun colors and cute smiling icons.   I decided to take some of my favorites and make a a couple of floating easel cards.  Take a peek...

Who doesn't love a glass of lemonade on a hot day, especially if it has a cute smile!  I used papers from the Bar-B-Cute 6x6 pad, some Odds & Ends and a Chit-Chat sentiment to piece together this card.

Here's a close up... I stole some of my husband's fishing line to make it look like the lemonade pitcher is floating.

For my next card I used more of the 6x6 papers and Odds & Ends.  I also added elements from the Icon Stickers.

I was so excited to see the return of the Paper Frills!  Years ago I had them in every single color... I hoarded them.  But over time, they were all used up and I was very sad!  I used some of the Limeade Paper Frills to make the "grass" on my card.  I also added a cute little ant from the Picnic Parade Shaped Sprinkles.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again... only Doodlebug can make a bug be cute!
