Doodlebug Design: Sweet Things Collection

Hi Everyone, today I have a fun layout featuring the adorable new Sweet Things Collection from Doodlebug Design!  I love Valentine collections, and this is one of my all time favorites!  Take a peek...

Everyone knows I am a crazy cat lady.  This is our kitten Jax.  He's really cute, which is good, because he's a bit of a troublemaker.  He just has the sweetest face... or maybe it's one only a cat mom could love... I'll let you decide!
I loved the typewritten pattern of the Love letters paper!  It makes a great background!  And all the fun hearts in the Paper Hearts Paper... such great colors!  I wanted it to be a big focus of my layout.  I then set out to embellishing... Sweet Things has the best embellishments!  My favorites were the Sweet Hearts Shape Sprinkles and the word stickers from the This and That Sticker Sheet!  Here are some more close-ups...

I completed the layout with some Ladybug Chippers and some Teensy Type letters for my title.  That's it for me today!  I hope you've enjoyed all of the Sweet Things inspiration these past couple of weeks!  Have a great day!

Paper Issues: Scraplift Sunday

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a layout I created for the Scrap-lift Sunday Challenge over at Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook Group.   The layout we were given to lift was by Janet Grzanka-Dlugokenski can be seen here on the Paper Issues Blog.  Here's my take on it...

This is Jax.  Jax feels the need to be the center of attention at all times.  If you are sitting on the couch, you should be playing with him.  I loved the big picture in Janet's layout and couldn't resist using this one.  I used a couple of different collections for my layout.  I started with Meow from Echo Park.  I love the colors and patterns, they are so cute!  I added some stickers etc. from Bella Blvd.'s Riley Collection.

I finished everything off with a cute little flair button from The Paper Bakery.  That's it for me today!  If you're looking for inspiration, be sure to stop by the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group and check out all of the challenges happening!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design : Polar Pals Collection

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a layout I created using the ADORABLE new Polar Pals Collection from Doodlebug Design!

I adore these pictures of the girls sledding at a local hill a few years ago... I was playing with the new lens Santa brought me for Christmas, I love how I was able to capture all the action!  The colors and embellishments in Polar pals are perfect for winter activities!

There are all sorts of snowflakes in the collection, and I used them all, from the big snowflakes in the Snowflakes Craft Kit, to the Frosty Flurry Mini doodle-pops to the Winter Snowflakes Sprinkle Shapes... they are all so much fun!

I also love the stickers on the This and That Sticker Sheet... especially the speech bubbles and the  little word stickers, they are so much fun to cluster!

My favorite by far are the little Doodlebug Snowmen and critters!!  I HAD to use the Sweet Snowman doodle-pop... he is just so cute!  The little penguin sticker is from the Icon Sticker Sheet, he comes in a few different colors and his rosy cheeks make me smile!

That's it for me today, make sure stop by the Doodlebug Blog every day this week for more Polar Pals Inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

I used some Doodlebug Sweet Things for the banner pieces and some Doodlebug Chunky twine to tie the pieces together.  I can't wait to put it up on my door!  Here is a close-up of the pieces...

Paper Issues: January Off the Page Challenge

Hi Everyone, today I have the January Off the Page Challenge for Paper Issues!  This year, we're teaming up with Lori Whitlock to bring you some great Off the Page Fun!  I will be using files from Lori's  fabulous SVG shop,  (She also designs cut files for the Silhouette Store) for my off the page projects.  I thought it would be fun to start off the year with a calendar/new/time theme.  Did you create a calendar for friends, or relatives?  Did you get a new planner? How about showing off your planner spreads?  How about anything related to new babies?  Birth Announcements, room décor, shower favors... New Starts... weddings, weight loss trackers..did you make any resolutions?  How about a resolution tracker?    Maybe a monthly mini album to hold your favorite Instagram pics?  Anything to do with clocks would be great too!  I used a lot of Lori's files this month to create my challenge project... take a peek...

My project is a cute little desktop calendar.  I started with Lori's 2016 Print and Cut Calendar, her Accordion Square Mini Album and her easel.  I then set out to decorate each month... I used papers from a number of Doodlebug Designs 6x6 paper pads.

The Accordion Album has six pages per side, so it was perfect for the 12 months of the year... here is the first half...

and the second half of the year!  Here are some close-ups of each month...

January used Lori's Snowman Set, February has the Valentine's Mason Jars file.

March has the Shamrock File and April's bunny is from the Easter Icons Set.

May's flowers are from the 12 Fancy Flowers files and the cute little owl is Lori's Graduation Owl.

July's fireworks are from the Patriotic Box Card and the sand castle is from the Beach Set.

How cute is that little book worm??  He is from the School Apple file and the little ghost is from the Layered Halloween Embellishments set.

Last, but not least, the little turkey is Lori's Turkey 2 File and Santa is from the Santa Claus Gift Box file.

This was definitely a lot of work, but I'm so happy it turned out like I pictured in my head!! (that doesn't always happen....)  To play along, add your project to the comment section of this challenge photo in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook Group,  January Challenges Album.  You have until February 6th to play along.  You could win one of 2 Gift Certificates to the Paper Issues Store!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
