Doodlebug Design | Hippity Hoppity Box Cards

Are you ready???  I have some REALLY fun news to share...  the Doodlebug Hippity Hoppity SVG files will be available starting tomorrow in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and they are ADORABLE!!! (They will also be submitted to the Silhouette Store)  I was lucky enough to get a sneaky peek of the files, and used a couple of them to make some fun box cards.  Take a peek...

I'm going to be honest, it took me a good hour to decide which files to use... they are all so fun!  But in the end, the Bunny in Bucket and Carrot Car files won out!  I just love converting Doodlebug's SVG files from flat to 3D!  If you'd like to see how I do it, I did a tutorial a few years ago giving general instructions for how I convert a file.  You can find that tutorial here.

I started with the bunny in the bucket... that little cottontail sticking up in the air just won me over!  I used the purple side of the Hippity Hoppity paper for my bucket and trimmed it with some Woodgrain Petite Prints.  I cut the little bunny bottom from some petite prints and used the pink check side of the Easter Egg Stripe Paper for the little paw pads.  I embellished the file with some Odds & ends pieces and a glitter sprinkle for the pail handle.

Ok, how ridiculously cute is the little bunny driving a carrot car??  I mean... really...  I used the carrot side of the Mr. Cottontail paper for the body of his car and the grassy side of the Baby Carrots paper for the carrot top.  The rest was pieced using some coordinating petite prints.  I love how easy it is to find papers to match throughout all of Doodlebug's collections!  I finished off the car with some mini jewels on the tires, a chit chat piece and a carrot sprinkle from the Hippity Hoppity Shaped Sprinkles.

If you make something with the Hippity Hoppity Collection and/or Cut files, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see what our fans create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock | Easter Bunny Truck Card

Hi Everyone!  I'm up on the Lori Whitlock Blog today with a tutorial showing how to assemble her new Box Card Truck Front End Easter Bunny file (SVG, Silhouette).  Take a peek...

How stinkin' cute is this card?  The bunny paws on the steering wheel just kill me!  No more hopping down the bunny trail... it's all zoom-zoom now!  I used some Petite Prints from Doodlebug Design to piece it all together.

The card also folds flat and fits into a 5x7 envelope.  For the full assembly tutorial, head over to this post on Lori's Blog.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Hippity Hoppity Easter Egg Box Card

Do you remember those sugary Easter Eggs dioramas?  The egg was made from solid sugar and there was  a little scene inside the egg all made of candy??  As a kid, I thought that they were the most amazing things!  I decided to make a card version of these eggs using the Hippity Hoppity Collection.  Take a peek...

It might not be made of sugar, but I still think it's pretty sweet! I designed the shadowbox in the shape of an egg... and then used elements from the Odds & Ends Pack, and both the Icon and Mini Icon Stickers to create my little scene.  I love the different sizes of all these elements, you can add small, medium and large icons to your projects giving them more dimension!

Up close, you can see there are different layers of embellishments.  I just love the grass pattern on the b-side of the Baby Carrots paper!  and that chubby littly chicky is the cutest!

Here is a view where you can better see the dimension and layers in the card.  I finished off my card with a Chit Chat Sentiment and one of the adorable little Egg Hunt Shaped Sprinkles. All that's left is to mail it off to family!

Doodlebug Design | You Bake Me So Happy Layout

I don't have littles anymore, and it's not always easy getting photos of my twenty-something... so when I saw these adorable pictures on Instagram of my niece's cutie helping in the kitchen I immediately asked her to send them to me. Being the wonderful niece she is, she sent them right along! They are the absolute perfect match for the Made with Love collection.  So much so, I actually scrapped a page... something I haven't done in quite a while.  Take a peek...

I am always in awe of moms who don't care how messy things get...I wasn't over the top but flour and glitter were 2 things that were very closely monitored in my house, lol!  For my layout, I started with the plaid side of the dab of butter cardstock and added some cinnamon heart cardstock along the bottom.  I cut a scallop strip using the borders and edges doodle cut dies.   I also added a strip of cinnamon hearts along the top of the page with the yellow scallop strip from the this and that sticker sheet and added a zig zag stitch.

I just love the mixer.. I need one in this exact color for my kitchen!  I created a fun little cluster using the icons stickers... and gave them all some mini sprinkle hearts!  Those eggs... so stinkin' cute!

And of course I couldn't resist the adorable flour and sugar canisters... and that little measuring cup!  I finished off the layout with some more stickers from the icon stickers and my title was created using pieces from the Chit Chat pack.  I just love her sweet face... and I guess the saying is true... messy hands, happy heart!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Made with Love Oven Cookie Box

I love to bake.  Cookies, cakes, bars... what's not to like?  So needless to say, the Made with Love collection is right up my alley!  Last year I made a fun little oven card (see post here) and I thought it would be fun to make a 3D Version using the collection that could double as a gift box for a little something sweet... take a peek...

I created the box by combining a cut file from Lori Whitlock with the So Much Pun Stove SVG.  It took some manipulation, but I think it looks like the little stove icon in the Made with Love Collection!

I made a little plate to hold some of the Bake Me Happy Cookie Shaped Sprinkles, and added a couple of the Icon Stickers to the stove back, because who doesn't have 12 things lined up on the back of their stove?

The oven door is made from a piece of transparency so you can peek in and see what's baking.

And the door opens out so you can get to the goodies inside.  To finish it off, I plan on including the recipe for my cookies on one of the new Made with Love Recipe Cards!
