Doodlebug Design | Down on the Farm Pop Up Cards

Down on the Farm is one of my all-time favorite collections.  The little critters are absolutely adorable! The cows, pigs and sheep just make me smile!  I decided to make a few pop up cards using some of the stickers from the collection.  I love how there's always plenty of icons to make up little scenes!  Take a peek...

I love the punny sentiments in this collection.  They make it easy to create cards that are more "all purpose", springy cards.  The first card I created was with the little cow.  He is udder-ly adorable. And really... "Cow's it Going?"... just perfect.

My next card features those fluffy sheep and the little chicken.   They're having a great day hanging in the meadow.

My last card features the chubby little piggies, hanging out in some mud puddles... They really are "Sow Sweet!"  My favorite part is the little worm popping up on the front of the card!

As I said, I love how all Doodlebug collections contain a variety of icons that allow you to build some fun little scenes!  Have you created any projects using the Down on the Farm Collection?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design | Hoppy Easter Stamps

It's no April Fool's joke...Spring is finally here!  I'm so excited for sunshine, warmer weather and Easter!  To celebrate I made a trio of sweet cards using the new Hoppy Easter Stamps and 6x6 Pad.  Take a peek...

The little critters in this stamp set are totally adorable!  I started with the little lamb.  I layered papers on the front with foam tape in between the layers to give it some dimension.    The sun is from the So Much Pun Far Out Set and the Cloud is from the Lots O' Luck Rainbows and Unicorns set.

I couldn't decide which bunny I liked the most so I decided to use all three of the bunnies from the set for my next card.  To make the bunnies seem brighter white, I outlined them with a Cool Gray Copic Marker (C00)... I like to do this with white images, it makes them appear a bit more dimensional and makes them pop a bit more.

My last card features the sweet little chickie.  I love that he's in a half egg... it's too cute.  I kept this card simple, just a couple of mats using the 6x6 pad.

There are a number of other cute images in this set including an Easter basket and jelly beans!  I can't wait to play with them all!  Have you made any cards or projects using Doodlebug's new stamps?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook (@Doodlebug Design) and Instagram (@doodlebugdesign).  We would love to see what you've created!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Lori Whitlock: Crayons Box Card

Well, I don't think we can deny it any more, Back to School time is definitely here.  The public schools here in the Northeast are still enjoying vacation, but many of my friend's kiddos across the country are already back in the classroom!  Summer just flew by!  Luckily, Lori has some really cute back to school designs to make it all a little better.  I fell in love with this Box Card Crayons (SVG, Silhouette)  as soon as I saw it!  It reminds me of new school supplies and a fresh box of crayons!  I used some of the new Doodlebug Design Petite Prints to piece it together...take a peek...

The only thing that's missing is the sharpener in the back of the box!  I know a lot of teachers who would love to receive this cute card!  Lori has an assembly video for this type of card here:  A2 Box Cards New Method.   That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Sweet Summer Cards

Hello everyone!  I'm so happy to be kicking off a couple of weeks of Sweet Summer Inspiration over on the Doodlebug Design Blog!   Summer is almost here, and I for one am VERY HAPPY about that!  It's been a long winter here in New England!  I decided to make some fun cards to celebrate!

Sweet Summer is such a fun, versatile collection!  For my first card I made a box card and filled it with the adorable fruits from the Odds & Ends Pack!

I edited this file for the crate (deleted the bottom portion) and then added some inserts to hold the fruits.  The crate was made using papers from the Sweet Summer 6x6 Pad, and the sentiment is from the Sweet Summer Chit Chats Pack.  I just love the little faces on the fruits!!!

My next card is a fun pop up card.  I just love making little scenes with the Odds & Ends!

Every time I see the little seagulls from the Odds & Ends Pack all I can think of are the seagulls from Finding Nemo ( Mine!  Mine!  Mine!!!)  They are just too cute.  I used some Almond Textured Cardstock for the sand and some Bubble Blue Gingham Linen Petite Prints for my sky.  The tree, chair, seagulls and sun are from the Odds & Ends Pack and the sentiment is from the This & That Sticker Sheet.  I finished it up with a little drink from the Tropical Punch Shaped Sprinkles.

I made my last card for a friend's upcoming birthday.  She has hosted the "work friends" girls nights for about 20 years! (of the 15-ish of us, only one still works at the company,  lol)  When I saw the cute little tropical drinks, I thought of her fun parties!

I started with the Punch Plaid Cardstock which is my FAVORITE in this collection!   I enlarged one of the insta-frames from the Polaroid Puppy Love Cut file to frame the cute little drinks from the Odds & Ends package.  I finished it off with some sentiments from the Chit Chat Pack.  Now if I only remember to mail it I'll be in good shape!

Be sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog over the next couple of weeks for more fabulous Sweet Summer inspiration from the Design Team!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Down on the Farm Cards

Today I'm excited to be kicking off a couple of weeks of Down on the Farm projects for Doodlebug Design!  I was so happy to get this collection,  the critters, the papers, the colors.... all "udderly" irresistible!  There were so many goodies to choose from I had a hard time narrowing down my selections!  Finally I did, and made these "moovalous" cards!

I laughed out loud when I saw the "Cow's it Going" Chit Chat piece.  I made a fun pop up card using papers from the 6x6 Down on the Farm Papers and the other embellishments are from the Odds & Ends Pieces.  I also used Lawn Fawn's Pop Up Stitched Hillside Die

I decorated the front of the card as well, a little more simply to allow the inside to stand out,  using Chit Chats and more papers from the 6x6 pad.

The base of my next card was made from the Down on the Farm Barn Cut file available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop.  I added this easel piece to the back so that it stands on it's own.

The barn was made from Gingham Linen Petite Prints  I added some doors to the barn, and when you open it up, there is a fun surprise!

The critters are from both the Icon Stickers Sheet and the Mini Icons Stickers.  How adorable is that little fly sticker?  So stinking cute!
My last card showcases a number of the cute Odds and Ends critters (back to my inability to narrow down my choices...)  I had them all say "hi" in their own way using the Chit Chat pieces.  The frame on the front of the card was made using Lawn Fawn's Peek-a-Boo Backdrop Die.

In case you don't speak "farm critter" I added another Chit Chat piece in the inside to translate for you.

Be sure to check the Doodlebug Design Blog over the next few weeks for more Down on the Farm inspiration.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Abigail Font Stickers

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some fun cards I created for Doodlebug Design.  I love a good font and the Abigail Font Stickers do not disappoint!  They are a sweet, handwritten font that are fun to mix and match with other Doodlebug Font Stickers and words from the This and That Sticker Sheets!  I used them to make some punny (I can't resist a good pun...) cards, take a peek!

I love making and receiving interactive cards!  For my first card, I created a penny slider easel card using the Rainbow with Clouds cut file from the Fairy Tales Collection and the cute little acetate sun from the Spring Things Odds & Ends Collection..  The cloud paper is from the Spring Things 6x6 Pad and the other papers are from the Petite Prints Collections.

The Abigail Font Stickers in Bumblebee were perfect for my sentiment!  And when you tip the card, the little sun moves along the rainbow!

My next card is a slider card I created using the base of this cut file from Lori Whitlock and papers, stickers and Odds & Ends from the Kitten Smitten Collection.

The Abigail Stickers in Bumblebee coordinated perfectly with the word sticker from the Kitten Smitten This and That Sticker Sheet!  Now for the fun part, when you pull the tab of the card, the kitties get close together!  So cute!!

My last card is a bobble card featuring Papers, Stickers, Odds & Ends and Tiny Heart Shape Sprinkles from the So Punny Collection.

The little tea cup is on a spring and wobbles!  The Abigail stickers in Cupcake were perfect for my sentiment!
Be sure to stop by the blog over the next couple of weeks for more projects featuring the Abigail Font Stickers!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Interactive Chit Chat Cards

Hi Everyone!  I have some fun cards I created for Doodlebug today!  I just love how easy card making has become now that we have the Chit Chat pieces!  Along with the Odds & Ends, they have made it SO easy to put together an awesome card!  I decided to make a few interactive cards focusing on the Chit Chat pieces from the So Punny collection.  Take a peek...

I had such a fun time with these cards!  The first card is a slider card.  I cut a slot in the toaster piece so that the pop tart could "pop out" when the slider tab is pulled.  All I needed to complete the card is the adorable chit chat sentiment!

My next card is also a type of slider card.  I started with the base of this cut file, and then added the fun typewriter from the Odds & Ends and the two sentiments from the Chit Chat Pieces.  The great thing about the Chit Chat speech bubbles is that if you like, you can cut off the "tail" and just have the sentiment !  I did that with the heart "just my type" piece.  All you do is pull the tag piece of the card and the Chit Chat Sentiment is revealed!

For my last card I used some Action Wobble Mini Springs to make the olives like little bobble heads!  When you tap them they wobble!

All I needed to complete the card is the "olive you" Chit Chat speech bubble and I also added some of the little Chit Chat hearts as well.

Since seeing the cards in action is much more fun than still pictures, I put together this fun little video showing the cards in action.

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: So Punny Cards

Hi Everyone! Today I have some fun cards featuring the new So Punny Collection from Doodlebug Design!  It's no secret, I love a good pun and this collection does not disappoint!  The Chit Chat Pieces and Odds & Ends make putting together cards so quick and easy!  Take a peek...

For my first card, I made a shadow box type card by layering different sized frames, with pop dots between the layers for dimensions.  I added the little tomatoes from the Odds & Ends and the speech bubble from the Chit Chat Pieces.  To finish, I added one of the Tiny Heart Sprinkles and done!

For my next card, I started with this card base cut with my Silhouette.  For the center I attached 2 of the soda can Odds & Ends back to back over a piece of Doodle Twine so that they floated in the middle.  Then I just added the "soda-lightful" saying from the Chit Chat pieces and done!

Finally for my last card, I used a center box card base to showcase the adorable sewing machine and thread Odds & Ends Pieces.  The speech bubble and the Just Because Banner are from the Chit Chat Pieces.

I really love how this collection is great for both everyday and Valentine's themed projects!  I've listed the products used for each card below.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Cream & Sugar Cards

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some fun cards I created using the fabulous Doodlebug Design Cream & Sugar Collection!  I have to say that this is one of my all time favorite collections.  The little coffee cups, the sugar cubes, the sweet treats... all just too cute!  Take a peek...

For my first card, I used the coffee cups from the Odds & Ends Package and the cute "punny" sentiment from the Cake Sprinkles Double Sided Cardstock .  The card base is from this cut file that I altered to fit my needs.  I like this card because it can be used for Valentine's Day or you could send it "just because."

My next card is a shaker card.  I just love shaker cards!!!  I started by cutting a heart shape in my base, then filling the shaker with some Doodlebug sequins and some X's and O's I cut out using my Silhouette.  The sweet candy hugs and kisses from the Odds & Ends pack and the Hugs & Kisses sentiment from the Cake Sprinkles Double Sided Cardstock topped it all off!

My last card I think is my favorite.  I love puns.  I use them liberally.  It makes my daughter roll here eyes.  So when this idea popped into my head, I couldn't resist.  I used the donut and the coffee cup from the Odds & Ends, and added some speech bubbles I made using the Booville Bubble Sayings cut file, and finished it with the Happy Valentine's Day sticker from the This & That Sticker Sheet.  The easel card base was made using this cut file.

I can't wait to send these out!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Doodlebug Design: Odds & Ends Challenge

Hi Everyone!  It's today I'm up on the Doodlebug Blog with my Odds & Ends Challenge project.  I will admit, it really wasn't much of a challenge to find a way to make these adorable embellishments the focus of a project!  They are just so cute, they really do all the work for you!  I decided to make a few (well OK, it turned into 12) cards using some Odds & Ends and some punny sentiments...  take a peek...

I really had to stop myself from making more.  I combined the Odds & Ends from the At the Zoo, Fairy Tales, Cream & Sugar, Kitten Smitten and Fun in the Sun Collections, with some Gingham Linen Petite Prints to make the cards!  The cards are a simple A2 size and the white mat was cut using Lawn Fawn's Large Cross Stitched Rectangle Dies.   The sentiments, well, I can't resist a good pun!

Here are some close-ups of the cards...

These went together really quickly.    I love that I now have a bunch of cards to send out when needed!  Be sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog for more Odds & Ends inspiration from the design team!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!
